Mate of mine showed me his walking figures since the start of the game.

292 kms. 189 miles. All legitimately walked as well. Lunacy.

The Pokedex only displays numbers up to the highest that you have seen. Mine was at 133 forever until last week's Dratini pushed it up to 147. I know 150/151 are Mewtwo/Mew, which aren't in the game yet. 148-9 are the Dratini evolutions (Dragonaire & Dragonite).
Ah i did not know that.

Is anyone still doing this I am at level 26 have caught 133 of the Pokedex now at the point of diminishing returns. So hard to progress it's almost pointless.

I will be in USA in 2 weeks so will get their regional exclusive, but will probably stop then.

Regional exclusive? What's that?

I'm midway between 25-26 currently. At 115 of the Pokedex. I'm still on it. Hammering the gyms at the moment to get more coins to buy incubators. They'll release the last few Pokemon soon, surely. And I imagine Gen.2 Pokemon will be added at some stage.

Eggs. The lame way to catch things.

I only use a ball. I may only be at 68, but all pure ball caught mons. The real heroes way.

Egging is cheating.

I have now caught every available Pokemon in Europe plus the USA regional. BUT due to evolving early Before understanding or knowing about IV levels I evolved some rubbish based on CP only so now have to refine my Pokemon. Pissed off they only introduced the appraisal late on as I have waisted a load of effort.

To me, this is the best part of this game. It encourages people to get off their backside and go out and walk.

If you want to really get good tips, I suggest you follow Trainer Tips on YouTube.

To find out the quality of you Pokemon click on a Pokemon and then click on the appraisal button.

The first appraisal is the quality of the Pokemon:-
Best
Strong
Decent
Poor (room for improvement)

The next is what its strongest quality is-
Attack
Defense
HP (health)

Or 2 or all 3 can be equally the strongest.

Next it tells you how strong your strongest quality is:-
Best
Strong
Good
Basic

Then a comment on its weight which at the moment we are not sure how this impacts things.

In my opinion only evolve a Pokemon with best quality and best rating on its strongest attribute.

That should be independent of its CP. you can always power up a high level Pokemon later. Also ONLY power up your best Pokemon. Stardust is to be used only on the highest quality pokemon. Just don't use it until you know what you are doing with it.

When you have got all the above in hand you then need to look for the best move sets!

I appear to have fumbled my way through and ended up with a good set of high CP, good move set 'attention catching/wonder' Pokemon. Since the appraisal update I guess I figured out that there was more than just CP to a good Pokemon and have been evolving and powering up accordingly.

The appraisal is ****.

"This Pokemon has some of the highest HP I've ever seen! "

No it doesn't.

" WOW, I'm blown away by its stats"

You shouldn't be, it's a CP level 150 Koffing with 27 HP and a very weak attack.

Looks like the nests have all changed again. A nearby Doduo hotspot is today full of Charmanders. That one is good news for me. Hopefully my most local nest (Growlithe) will turn into something equally useful or better.

The one that used to be Doduo is in Milton Keynes. My local ex-Growlithe nest is now also Charmander, and that's in Nottingham.

follow this link on a smartphone. Pokemon nests on your google maps/sat nav.

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... g&hl=en_US" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"

Some of these are rubbish, some are dependant on time, some are inaccessible golf courses, and they've all changed last week. But I have found it useful.
