Re: COD in 2017
^^ which suggests a Normandy landings scene. One of my all time favourite gaming scenes was based on this in the old Medal of Honor series of games, which would be even more spectacular with modern consoles. I haven't bought a COD game for years but would be tempted back with this.

Was great playing this. 2002 - 15 years ago, Christ.
I remember I bought my first 5.1 JBL surround system around this time, matched with a Marantz SR4200 receiver and had the PS2 set up by optical cable - brought the games alive hearing the huge explosions through the sub and the gunshots ricocheting behind you on DD/DTS.
Obviously it looks well dated now, but shows you the sheer potential of what they can create if they stay away from laser guns and jet packs.
Given the interest in COD remastered, that so many have just ignored the Infinite Warfare part of the game, as well as the love for Battlefield 1 I think - as you say - they are finally getting the message.
Genuinely excited about a COD for the first time in nearly 8-9 years.

Re: COD in 2017
Think we should explore getting a CoD group together.
I remember there were a few funny matchups when many got involved.
I'm terrible, by the way.

Really looking forward to this - always used to be a fan of the single player campaigns but never got into the multiplayer that everyone else seems to love!
A WWII game should prove to be an awesome campaign mode!
Preordered on Game already

Re: COD in 2017
I will await reviews first , knowing the COD crew a .303 round from a Lee Enfield will be accurate to a distance of a mile , if they are going WWII it needs to feel the way it was with those weapons

Re: COD in 2017
....what, that the Germans always take an age to aim and usually miss, whereas the the plucky Allies always produce instant one-shot kills? Or have I watched too many war films from the 1950s and 60s???FreeWheeling wrote: if they are going WWII it needs to feel the way it was with those weapons
