As it says - what were your favourite games from the seventh generation of consoles?

Red Dead Redemption is probably just about my favourite from the era.

Sega Rally, Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed, Gears of War 1-3, Bioshock 1-3, Black Ops, Track & Field.

The 360 was a fantastic system. The PS4 I replaced it with, not so much.

Phew, with a plethora of great games there is so many to consider as genuine faves but I'll name the most outstanding games I've played on each console.

I must mention the exclusives: Gears of War 2 is the only 360 exclusive I adored, while The Last of Us, God of War III, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain are all PS3 exclusives that blew me away.

And one I started a few weeks back that has completely unhinged me but I cannot say enough great things, and that is Dark Souls. I'm stunned I never gave this game a chance years ago. It's brilliant.
Dark Souls is one of those games you think about when you're not playing it, whether it be a strategy to beat the next boss (that you've failed at a dozen times), weapon upgrades, or where to go next. It demands you being at 100% focus to beat it.

As you can see from my personal picks I'm very much an FPS/action-adventure fan, so you won't see any racing games or MMORPG's on my list.

Gears Of War 1 - Best game I've ever played, well on-line, had the perfect mix between skill and pick up and play, great team game, fine on your own, tons of maps, just a masterpiece, so balanced, as well it was before partys etc so you had to talk in game so if you had a first to 9 and it's 8-8 the "banter" in the lobby between rounds was hilarious

I really liked a game called Saboteur, it had the worst voice acting and some really dodgy accents but was a great game.

I also loved bioshock I got the remastered version fox Xbox one.

Far cry three was fun as well.

Agreed but trying to get a team of 4 together was a nightmare.

Also, blocking people in the Hammer of Dawn hut on Rooftops :lol:

The maps are still so good thinking about it bar Rooftops which was just silly

Fuel Depot and Gridlock are brilliance
Raven Down was just a class tear up
War Machine, Canals, Mansion, Clock Tower, Escalation,

Every map was just seamless, can't believe they managed to ruin it so much in the following games, as I think the creator hated the original game

A question for y'all - The Last Of Us on PS3, or the remastered PS4 version?

Remastered on PS4. Looks much nicer and plays every bit as well.

Technically I've only ever played the Remastered version on PS4 and it's just brilliant. They've tweaked the controls a tad for using inventory and make use of the controllers internal speaker for tape recordings found in the game. Pretty neat.
