Blizzcon 2017

Post by wolf359 »

Anyone else watching this? I've got my Virtual Ticket and will be up all night watching this.

New World of Warcraft expansion announced, massively hyped.

I'd love to go to the event.

I didn't watch as much as previous years, couldn't get into the competition stuff this time. There were major Warcraft announcements (what I watch for) , Hearthstone, some new stuff for Overwatch and the Muse ending concert was good. There is also some interesting stuff regarding game design and voice acting. I teach computing at degree level, though I don't teach game design (it is on our course) it is nice to know a little about it when talking to students

It is a shame it is PPV though. Not as if Blizzard are short of a few quid.

Personally I don't care for going backwards (I never played it the 1st time). I do know the community is starting to rip itself apart on which version of 'classic' it should be. Will be interesting to see how it pans out and hopefully all those who want to (re)experience it can do so in a way that satisfies the majority.

It was brilliant the first time round though, it was difficult, you did end up dying lots and you didn't just fart and end up levelling with no real effort. Sometimes you had to properly plan your action rotation and hope when you PUG you weren’t with massive monglords. You actually made an attempt to speak with people back then as well!!!

I can't wait to see what they do with it, would like to see them implement some overall improvements but still keep to the original core games.
