Not so much playing, but getting nostalgic over one:
I was at a clasical music concert last night and one of the pieces they played was 'The Blue Danube'
Elite aficianados will remember this as the docking computer music, so I was swept away in my memories of docking my Cobra MkIII, skimming gas giants, and fighting off pirates and police when I'd accidently fired at a space station

Still play Elite on my C64, tried to on the Speccy but my version has the infuriating Lens-Lok!.Whitters wrote:Not so much playing, but getting nostalgic over one:

Presumably, a reference to the same piece in Kubrick's 2001.

Just completed Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars - The Director's Cut on Android/phone.
I liked Monkey Island, Beneath a Steel Sky, etc back in the day - but I never played this one.
It's pretty good - a fairly engrossing story and some lovely art - although the main character is rather dull.

Just started The Witcher 3 (PC). Been sitting in my library for years (literally), never got round to playing it before.

The Broken Sword series is one my favourite. You need to move on to The Smoking Mirror which is also an amazing game. If your a fan of point and click games give Discworld a try if you can obtain a copy on PC or PS1.MintChocChip wrote:Just completed Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars - The Director's Cut on Android/phone.

Broken sword was brilliant.
I believe it's available on Play Store for androids, if you feel like you aren't already wasting enough of your time..

Another vote for the Broken Sword series. One of only two games I've ever backed on Kickstarter [no.5]. Keep meaning to replay them all in sequence but need to find a good chunk of time.

Sea Of Thieves!
Quite good fun, although it is mostly fetch quests. Anyone else playing?

Recently got back into playing Stellaris, another absolute gem by Paradox (Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, etc).
Ended up doing a marathon 6 hour multiplayer with it last weekend. Until some c**t destroyed all of our planets with a stupid ship with a stupid gun.

Titanfall 2 for the single player campaign. Decent shooter. Weapons have some oomph.

Still World of Warcraft, played almost everyday since the current expansion was released. A bit of a quiet time at the moment (next expansion out in August) but still farming away for those 1/2000 drop mounts

Re: What are you playing right now?
From what I’ve seen and heard this game is a little more subtle than the originals on the PS2 and PS3. They were more arcadey and outrageous compared to this new one, which seems to be far more strategic and close combat based.Hammer1972 wrote:God of War on PS4.
Never played one before but....wow!
But they are still REALLY good.
