Pro Evo 1-3 saw the game transgress to absurd levels of replayability. I spent years playing Master Leagues and brilliantly fluid gameplay. PS3 was the perfect football game, and no FIFA with all its licenses will ever take that away.

Re: If you could only play five video games......
Master League was a thing of beauty. Earning just enough points to sign a lightning fast player like Babangida, just to give you an edge in early games.
Having a front 5 of of Zidane, Miranda, Recoba, Adriano and Rivaldo
Re: If you could only play five video games......
Well you'd need an XCom game. Either the original or XCom 2: WotC.
Dark Souls
FTL
Mario Kart
and.... suppose it would have to be a Civilisation game, probably V.
****, and a Kingdom Rush game. Probably Frontiers.

Am loving the suggestions on here, some before my time so I might have to try to pick some up. Not sure how I could forget Mario Kart on the Wii especially, and the Tiger Woods games from 03/04

I found that, although Dark Souls was a very rewarding game, it is also one that just about broke my spirit.

If I found myself overwhelmed (Blighttown, Sen’s Fortress, Ornstein & Smough and New Londo have all tested my patience) I would leave the game for a few days, sometimes weeks in a few cases and de-stress before applying myself again.'stone hammer wrote:I found that, although Dark Souls was a very rewarding game, it is also one that just about broke my spirit.
Still love it. Once you do it you find you can breeze it on most occasions on a second playthrough.

I just saw this thread and that is pretty much what I would pick. Haven't played mass effect and haven't had a console for two years now (No time to play with a kid and moaning wife).Pocket Pardew wrote:Fallout

I had fallout new Vegas which I loved, so much replay value.
I'd swap Forza with one of the Gran Turismo titles (there was one on the ps2 that my brother had which we ploughed hours in to.
Not sure if many people here have played the Madden NFL games but I remember having the 2004 edition without knowing anything about NFL and I was hooked. Never understood how the rams were the best team but appear to be rubbish in real life during/since.

Managed the play offs last season. Expecting improvement again this year. #Mobsquad
Re: If you could only play five video games......
Assuming I am playing them how they were then, rather than crappy graphics now:
Champ Manager 01/02
Call of Duty: MW2
GTA V
PES 3
Golden Eye
CM for me remains the greatest game ever made, in terms of amount of time I spent playing that game. It has been around a decade since I did play it, but I played it solidly from 2001 until around 07/08. RARS has summed it up perfectly. I still play Football Manager on the iphone, which does have the simplistic touch to it and reminds me a lot of 01/02. Over three weeks game play since buying it earlier this year. Perfect for the train and toilet. Anyway, I digress....
MW2 online with the boys has to be my favourite console game. I've just googled it's release date and cannot believe it was released nine years ago...! MW1 & MW2 took up much of my late teen / early 20's nights in. I was even part of an online clan and played it so much that I was one of the team leaders (makes me cringe just saying that). I actually looked them up recently and they are still going, playing other FPS's.
Console games need dedication and I just cannot do that these days. Phone games are probably as far as I can take it and even then I get the mrs in the ear.

Re: If you could only play five video games......
Don't feel cringy for having late night and being a clan leader on MW2, I was as well with my mates in my mid to late teens, and Black Ops 1. I remember getting on at around 9pm and still being on when my Dad and Brother went to work the next morning around 7 am. Those kind of days are behind me now but I do enjoy a night in now and then to geek out like the good old days.
