Cheers LC. Think I've acually seen the first one years ago. Didn't realise they were the basis for The Departed. Will check them out again.

Sin City, but only halfway. Enjoyed the visual style, the film-noir low voicover and the stellar cast, but the relentless amoral brutality got me down in the end.

Penguin Post Office.
A charming little documentary about the British outpost in Antarctica which(and the clue is in the title!) has a post office and, lots of penguins.

The End of Days. Can Arnie stop Satan from dipping his wick and bringing about the end of the world?

Red Arrows. Inside the bubble.
Interesting insight into the training etc. to 'make' the public display team.

Inception!
Can't believe I hadn't seen it before and if I had known even what it was about I would've forced myself a lot earlier. Thought it was great after the initial first 5 minutes of what the f*** is going on here.

Also started True Blood from the beginning with a Christian mate who hadn't seen it before
About to start season 2 of that, haven't touched any of the final season yet on purpose.

Not bad. 7.5/10 if you like to put your brain in to neutral and just watch explosions for a couple of hours. Probably 2/10 if you're looking for something a bit more cerebral.
Nice to see Mel Gibson back in a movie. He might be a racialist, but he's still a good addition to any movie IMO... as are Ronda Rousey's thighs. Arnie & Harrison Ford had surprisingly large parts too.

Re: What did you watch last night?
Zero Theorem - A strange Terry Gilliam job, set in a future-retro streampunk world (apparently, not sure what Steampunk is) . Strange in every way, I'm going to stick to blockbusters from now on, these 'arty' films don't work for me. The acting is good, Chirstoph Waltz is excellent as the central character but the whole environment feels like Bioshock (the computer game) turned to 11. I suppose some of you will really like it, there are some good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
