Just saw the trailer for the new one. I don't need to see any more of it. Screw this. I'm out.

Trailer looked good, but came somewhat as a mirror image of Empire.
Jedi Training, Poe and Finn seemingly in danger, secrets likely revealed.... yep. Ticks all the boxes.

Chuckle all you like JAK, this franchise is done. Although, tbh it was probably done when Lucas put out the first prequel.

Speaking as someone who is not a Star Wars fan as such [ I've enjoyed a couple of them don't get me wrong ] but I thought ' Rogue One ' was superb frpm beginning to end and I can see a bright future for the franchise .
Quite looking forward to seeing ' The Last Jedi ' .

You may be done with the franchise, but I am pretty sure the franchise is far from done...

Correctamundo. The franchise will do just fine without me. Actually, I'm finding that a lot of things I used to care about seem to be moving on from me. Part of getting older I suppose. One moves out of the target demographic. Que sera sera.

Watched the rest of Rogue 1 just now as I'm beyond bored.

The second half didn't improve for me. Pretty jank film in all honesty, made all the worse by episode 7 and the fact that the Death Star or planet, whatever it is, is still thriving. All that effort for what resulted in little more than a pothole on the Imperial path to universal dominance.

This is bad news. I have never been convinced by the whole idea of this film but it felt like they were the right guys for the job. Losing the directors, and their vision, at this stage makes me suspect we are going to get a 'safer' version of the movie...

No doubt. Although you could claim that it's likely to have been in that vein anyway.

This'll be a 'patch up, keep it simple, protect our investment' job for certain.

Agreed. Really struggling for enthusiasm for this one.

See, I don't think they were a particularly good fit but, this far into the proceedings, I would rather they see it through. Now it's going to be a bit of a patch-up job. That's not to say it definitely won't be any good now, in fact I'm still hoping to be proven wrong to have had any reticence in the first place, but this doesn't inspire much confidence.
