Sarah Lancaster. What an actor. The scene on the doorstep was terrible (in terms of the events) and brilliant (in terms of the acting) all at the same time.
Football firstly, wasn't the best game, until the 89th minute onwards, the VAR is it? How they did not give Chelsea a penalty I don't know, and then to book William! Crazy stuff!
Then two episodes of the SAS thing on channel 4, 25 civilians are put through their paces at a training camp, the physical side is hardcore, but I enjoy the mental side more, the ex SAS serviceman are incredibly hard bastards, but know how to break/build a human being. Really great TV, would recommend this. I won't spoil it, but there is one clip when one of the civilians explains why he put himself up for this, due to a tragic event with his wife two years ago, shocking what happened, but how it unfolded with the ex SAS talking to him, was enthralling/sad TV.
Darkest Hour going on tonight. Watched Dunkirk last night with the home cinema cranked. Full-screen 1080p & DTS-HD audio made for a thudding, visceral movie experience. Incredible stuff and I think it might well become an AV system reference movie for years to come.
Just watched The Rocketeer with the family. Grossly underrated popcorn matinee flick. Tim Dalton on superb form as the bad guy. Also, Jennifer Connelly’s jugs in that movie were absolutely world-class.
First time seeing Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Just plain bad. Not even a high calorie mindless treat. Very disappointing. I thought the first one was quite entertaining.
Nazi Hunters: Serge and Beate Klarsfeld. I am just agog with pure envy at the amount of energy and passion a married couple can put into perusing one single cause. Despite death threats, at least two assassination attempts on them and their family, they continue to go on hunting down those Nazi's that committed terrible acts during WW2.
They have helped capture Barbie, stopped Kiesinger being elected president due to his Nazi past (She slapped him n the face and said "This is for the 6 million you killed" and got arrested), helped extradite Eichman's deputy Brunner and much much more. Beate went on her own to various south American countries and protested about they lack of extradition of prominent Nazi's, getting arrested by the police there and going through all that entails. What they have achieved in their lives (they are still alive!) is amazing and they are constant source of inspiration me to get off my ass and do things with passion. Outstanding TV.
