Re: Little things that irritate you
Would love a free gym at work but then I probably wouldn't do much work! I use a fitness first during the day that I get for £20 a month through the firm I work for. All city workers so a huge blend of people and mostly nice enough. Then I go home and me and the wife head off to the chav pit.
Might try and get some pictures of the filth I have to deal with in there

20 bucks a month for a gym is very good. Part of the reason I was so delighted to transfer to this building was because of the free onsite gym. It's not as good as any others I've been a member of, but it's free, and relatively well equipped, so I'm very happy there.
Plus, after a 2.5 year hiatus from weight training, my shoulder injury has finally healed, and I'm back to pushing weights now, yay!

Almost as bad as having to listen to some of these "gangsta" types arranging a drug deal, threatening to have someone done over or calling someone out for a fight. Seems to happen a lot when I'm on the train to / from Gatwick to London bridge, usually Mr Ali G gets on / off at Croydon. The Gibbins wrote: I guess that's another thing that irritates me, people that phone someone for the sake of talking on the train and talk about how they are going to make a spag bol after work, watch some netflix etc or something else just as boring....

They wouldn't be very good if they didn't at least show some modicum of impersonation!woodgreenspur wrote:Yep.I hate the tribute bands who actually think they are the people they are taking off.
Cover bands are quality. Some of my best gigs/nights out have been on the piss and watching cover bands.
The Rolling Clones and Oasiz were particular highlights.

Inanimate objects.
Rather than just sit or lie there doing nothing, they actually defy you when you're trying to do something with them. They deserve a damn good thrashing.

Ab salute at gallows corner? It has some interesting characters shall we say, to be fair few years back it was nothing like that, every bloke in there was a six foot wide roid head and the girls were all 1% body fat, it was borderline intimidating, it had an aura, nowdays it's got a lot more gym shark, cheeky nandos, tracksuit wearing, iced gem haircuts, pretty boy donuts in the last few yearsHalfTimePie wrote:
I fully understand and agree with everything you say here Gibbins. I go to an Ab Salute Gym in the evenings and its full of the tracksuit wearing pretty boys who go there and have no idea what they are doing. Probably causing more injuries than working their small muscles.

Talent? Zilch. Entertainment? Priceless. Jimbob Morrison (aka Simon Lewis) lived the dream, man. Best £5 entrance fee I ever spent

Ab Salute in Braintree, only just opened up. There is a few people you can tell are on the juice and I know a few women in there that compete but its mainly just loud twatty teens who think they're the biggest and best thing goingfmgod wrote:

Paul Cox (Joe Cocker) and The Trembling Wilburys are both technically excellent and a great evening's entertainment.
