Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Cheers JBB. I'm pleased you said that, that's definitely the vibe I was going for.

Transformers.....I try to use salvaged ones wherever I can, the Bonzo uses some enormous Drake transformers from an old defunct Kelly amp. Otherwise, small/standard txfs I get from Carnhill, large/specials I tend to go to Majestic.

There are some Italian and French companies that have got a good rep and are much cheaper than UK built, but it's nice to have Union Jack's on everything.

Thanks. I was dreading you saying you get them from Sowter. I don't think my wheelbarrow's big enough to hold all the ten pound notes they'd want for one.

I've got a Mullard 5-10 chassis with both mains and output transformers present although the capacitors are shot. I keep thinking I ought to do something with it, other than robbing the original Mullard EL84s for my Peavey Classic 20 :)

Nice! Would be easy to turn that into something like a Vox AC15 or a Marshall 18Watt. Or maybe better still, flog it and use the money to buy a real AC15 or something :)

That is proper proper awesome laffers

5.30 this morning, sitting in my garden with a lovely black coffee, only noise was the wildlife, and my little red robin came over to say hello, inquisitive little birds, two feet away just looking and chirping away at me, love the early mornings in the spring/summer.

We got married yesterday, fabulous day with family and friends. We were sat by the pool having lunch when my wife points out as we got back so late we missed out wedding dress sex, so she tells me to give her 15 minutes then follow her to the hotel room. :D

Not bad, even though I say so myself.

The size of the strap on was a bit of a shock though.

Clacton - I agree that there aren't many better ways to start the day than a fine early morning outside in the garden.
