Measuring up a flat in London for copper stair risers and a big kitchen splash back, for Nick Mason. The Nick Mason. I'm right up there as a mad Floyd fan so hopefully I don't make a total whelk of myself.
Met him at a party in Glastonbury, decades ago.Nice bloke.

Phil Taylor at Aberdeen airport. Had a good chat with him about darts and football. Came across as a nice bloke and could have chatted longer.

The only player George Best mentioned that he hated playing against. He was one tough little right back and was the first black player to play for England.

Now there’s a name from the past. I can’t beat that but I was waiting for a bus on Southwark Bridge Road a couple of weeks ago and Tom Daley walked past pulling a wheelie bag. Probably wouldn’t have noticed but he had a deep sun tan (if I were honest I would say he had a full David Dickenson) and looked out of place on a dingy London afternoon. I nodded to him and he smiled back. Very short. In stature.

Think they always saw Reaney as mixed race.
Met him loads of times at Potters. Lovely bloke, was there at Upton Park when he broke his leg.

I've met quite a few politicians on both sides of the pond and I reckon that their real skill is making you feel like their best mate/ person they'd most like to shag when you're in their company. They're all ****ing brilliant at it.

Derby manager Gary Rowett walking through Soho. I was tempted to ask him how big of a **** does he think Neil Warnock is.

Not wishing to open up that can of worms, I always thought he was black.

I think you mean Gary Rowett!

I can't stand the thought of Colin ****er returning to the PL. For that reason alone I would be happy for us to go down!

I was on the phone Wednesday 4pm inCanary Wharf just walking past Boots towards Waitrose when David Moyes walked past me. I would have had a word but I was making arrangements to meet up with some mates so couldn't get off the phone. It was a sorta "Hold on I know you, don't I?" moment before the penny dropped.

Much taller than I envisaged. About 6ft 1 inch - I imagined him to be much smaller for some reason.
