Didn't want to clog up the snug by starting a new thread for this:
On a fry up I just have to have brown sauce. My question to you all is which brown sauce is your favourite or do you think there is not much difference.
I like HP sauce and YR sauce. Off you go........................

The best table sauces you can get in the supermarket at the moment are made by Wilkin & Sons. Only a few pence more than the equivalent Heinz, but their ketchup in particular is far better. This may be controversial, but I guarantee that anyone who rates Heinz will rate the Tiptree sauces.
That said, I'd still probably pick HP over the W & S brown sauce.

Not a fan of brown sauce myself. Then again I've never tried it, believe it or not. Should I though? and what do you eat with it? is it hot, sweet etc

Of course you should try it. Not unlike ketchup, but fruity & with a hint of spice.

I have to disagree with this. Tiptree jams and marmalades are undoubtedly the best available, but it's weird, I previously rated all ketchup as much of a muchness, but when we got a bottle of Tiptree ketchup expecting magic, the missus and I were sorely disappointed: far too sweet and just not 'right'.

I register surprise. You're the first person to report disappointment on sampling the tiptree ketchup. It is definitely sweeter than Heinz, I'll grant you that - but the texture is sublime. Much less vinegary, too.

That would have been perfect for some HP. Try it first to check you like it, but it is excellent with bacon, egg & white bread sangers.
