Little things that irritate you

It’s okay, she’s assured me that it was someone else’s fault.

My dog seems to like them.

Somerset. Did you put that request for a name change in about 5 years back?

My dog's completely unfazed by them - mind you he's a hard b'stard
(he's actually a complete wimp but for some reason fireworks don't bother him).

The fireworks. I try not to be judgemental of people based on a solitary character trait, but there are one or two such traits that provoke an instant Pavlovian yell of 'You utter, utter c***!' from me, due to their complete selfish, inconsiderate unfathomability.
One is the wilful dropping of litter. The other is the incomprehensible need for folk to let off loud fireworks from their garden, when there is a plethora of perfectly spectacular free displays available. Big one tonight 20 mins walk/5 mins car or bus from me in Poole on the quayside; every year, 8pm, it's great - 1000's of people, nice family atmos, BBQ's from the waterside hotels and restaurants, bit of live entertainment laid on too...for free.
Well past 10pm there were still mouth-breathers a few doors away letting off the loudest bangers imaginable. Dogs yelping in panic, next door's cat hiding under my dinner table shaking in fear - on top of the sheer anti-social nuisance value to neighbours.
Sorry to be such a scrooge but i genuinely cannot fathom what goes on in a mind to be so selfish and inconsiderate as to behave like this. Just end up with an incomprehending shrug when confronting these twats with it as well.
And breathe... time for Horlicks and a good book before slumber and to allow the BP to dip under 250/150!...

And smile at the thought of the good money they've wasted.
Much better to do like Dan & just get some little ones for the kids. And let 'em off at a decent time.

Talkshite's coverage of the Sri Lankan test. Wasn't expecting much, but it's absolutely woeful. The BBC should take at least part responsibility for not bidding properly, but this is down to the ECB . They screwed the game by giving the TV coverage to Sky, and now they've done the same to the radio coverage. Whoever this **** 'Macca' maybe, clearly has never listened to cricket in a radio.... "blah ,blah,blah...oh, Root's out"...... ****.

Nothing will EVER come close to TMS.

Punishment for being completely ****ing useless in my company - being made a director.
Reward for consistent performance - more **** jobs to do that those being made director aren't capable of doing.

Black Lab?

Is a retriever - gun dog... funnily enough I had a Springer and now a black lab/springer cross who were/are both completely oblivious to fireworks, but only made the connection of them being gundogs recently. Must be deep in their psyche to not care about loud bangs.

Quite a loud Diwali tonight. Either that or ISIS have tracked me down.
The cat has disappeared sharpish into her air-raid shelter (underneath the settee).

People who say "You know it is all scripted?" when I say I watch Wrestling. As if it is any different to a Soap Opera they watch each week.

Also, people who try to offend me by calling me a nerd for playing Warhammer. I love it, it is intellectually stimulating, creative, and the background is better than almost anything ever written in sci-fi.
I've been a ****ing "nerd" all my life and don't care what "cool" people think anymore!
