Re: Little things that irritate you
I once offered to give up my seat to a lady in a public lavatory. There was considerable misunderstanding.

Eddie Hearn.
Sounds so much like his old man, it is actually really, really, really, really creepy.

Re: Little things that irritate you
The term "bad darts" I find a little irritating.
I used to play competitive darts a lot and never heard anyone say that, even when referring to oneself, it would be more like "you useless t**t!"
Not even when describing poor quality darts (the cheapo ones that come with the board for example)

This is prob just me, and its really little, but it really irritates me
Football related.
Captains that don't put the armband on properly. Like they've pushed it up their arm, and its shifted their sleeve further up the upper-arm, but hasn't actually gone over the sleeve, and the armband is still on skin.
Winds me up
But so many of them do it, I reckon its deliberate and a fashion statement

The fact that we have Captains' armbands irritates me.Sloffy wrote:This is prob just me, and its really little, but it really irritates me

He's probably a nice guy, I don't doubt he can woo a lady, but as a comedian he is a tired, one trick pony. You can see what he is going to say ten seconds before he says it now, and I'm bored of his mincing about. He has done nothing since Little Britain, and has found one thing that makes people laugh and he is going to milk the merry hell out of it until the end of his career.fmgod wrote:

Re: Little things that irritate you
push bikes in London jumping red lights
every bike that is used on the road should have a small registration plate on the back to identify the owner
also i believe that bikes being used on the roads should also have some form of insurance
if a bike hits my car and causes damage then its my problem and my insurance
if my car hits a bike then its also my insurance
the law sides too easily with bike users when roads are concerned without much consideration for car users

On the David Walliams subject, look at people like jimmy Saville now, most people can't believe they didn't see it then,
He's a little bit too odd for me in a creepy pedophile way

Just quick backtrack to the oap's on the trains. They can use the underground trains free all day, national rail there passes aren't valid during peak times.
Can not stand David Walliams, or ricky Gervais either for that matter.

The audacity of TFL to just put "delayed" on the message board rather than a time. Scrapes my knuckles with a metal file

What about 'bad boys' when referring to purchases, especially shoes?JerseyHammer wrote:The term "bad darts" I find a little irritating.

'I just got these bad boys', making them sound like some wicked pair of shoes that nobody would ever dream of wearing, rather then the rather mundane run of the mill Nike trainers that half the World already has on its feet.
Bad Boys my fat a**e.

Hmm, nah that doesn't really bother me. Bit like saying "look at these puppies!" - not something I would say but not something that irritates me.mushy wrote:What about 'bad boys' when referring to purchases, especially shoes?

The "bad darts" one just doesn't make any sense to me at all, it's not even a phrase used in darts.

That there are seemingly tens of thousands of people out there who think Gorillas should be allowed to have their way with 3 year old kids.
You can criticise feckless parents, poor walls etc and I might agree. But once the poor mite is in there...

Lots of idiots accusing the parents of neglect, none of whom I assume have ever had to look after a toddler.
That video did not look good for the kid. I dread to think what would have happened had they not shot the Gorilla.
