Remember the enthusiasm generated by the Icelandics? Well we need new owners who will give that sort of kick start to things but NOT to go bust a little while down the line!

Only West Ham could get a billionaire owner with no money. We are still feeling the affects 10 years on.

Out walking the dog before heading off to bed tonight, but about 50 yards from the house I found a Timberland shoe box with two abandoned kittens in there. They're now spending the night in the kitchen until the local shelter opens up in the morning.

I don't know too much about cats re: size and age, but they're not tiny kittens, I'd say about half to two thirds adult size. They seem pretty healthy and are friendly now that they're used to us and are less scared.

Anyway, the good news is that close friends are going to adopt the pair of them, so they're thrilled as they were looking to buy a cat or two, and I'm happy that they're going as a pair to a good home just down the road from us, so we get to see them grow up too.

Well done mate. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat animals I've found.

Good man, Whitters. If they're staying overnight with you, I'd advise shutting them in a fairly small room (the bathroom might be best) with plenty of newspaper on the floor!

Those adverts on the radio where they try and cram as many words of the terms and conditions into the last 5 seconds irritate me

Thanks all for the kind comments.

The two cats are now in a good friend's loving home and have been kept together, which is perfect as they were clearly very attached to each other. Our friends have two young sons, so they both have one of the cats as their pet and are over the moon.

The kittens went to the vets today and are in very good health, 3.5 months old, and have now been vaccinated and chipped. They were only with us for a day, and I'm a dog rather than cat person, but I was quite sad to see them go. They're only in the next village, so I'm sure we'll be regular visitors to see them.

TOP man, Whitters

Cats are awesome when they're not waking you up 4 hours after you finally made it to bed after a prolonged session on the red wine.
