That reminds me, the bloody skybridge at Gatwick that plays sounds from Yangtze out the hundred speakers next to the walkway. Had to go along it twice recently... does my nut.[/quote]djclipz wrote:Airport terminals, and in particular the fact that most have been renovated or designed such that passengers are forced to walk through the duty free section before reaching their gates.
Spot on about the skybridge, although it amazes me looking at the pictures of the Chinese people on the billboards how bad dental hygiene is in rural China. Plenty of openings for dentists

TV Progs about Alaska: Ok I get it. It's cold, it's dangerous, its inhospitable and you have to fend for yourself. and that's it.
Why create prog after prog about living there showing a lot of unwashed and tatty red-necks who don't really like anyone but themselves and their mates?
I just can't see the appeal of watching stuff like this.

The absolute Cockwomble at work who always urinates all over the toilet seat and floor and thinks it is funny to leave the facilities in such a state.
I'm also sick to death of hearing about Harvey ****ing Weiner on the news. Bloke hasn't even been charged with a crime, yet the news tells us he deserves the death penalty.

I don't. You can work out what the progs are all about via the extended pre-prog highlights they show in between other progs.Rocketron wrote:Why do you, then?
That and they take up a shed load of the listings with something happening in Alaska. i.e Alaskan gold, Alaskan survival ad infinitum.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Had my stitches out yesterday at 10:00.
By 13:00, the scar had split and I spent the next 10 hours in 2 different hospitals before they told me they can't re-stitch it and it will need packing and covering for about 4 weeks so it can heal inside to out and will leave a big scar.
And it hurts like a b*stard

Fireworks. I hate seeing my Dog being scared. I will get medication from the Vet but idiots set off fireworks from the end of September right through until the New Year.

Agree totally. I would ban them from public sale. It's madness to hand this stuff out freely to morons. I know a guy with cerebral palsy who has more than once had utter ****s throw fireworks at him in his wheelchair. I'm sorry if my suggestion makes me a killjoy, but tough. Go to a licensed public display.jastons wrote:Fireworks. I hate seeing my Dog being scared. Couldn't agree more.I once lived. @Northolt on the canal. Our mooring backed on to some temple or other. From early Sept till after New Year was like living in a war zone.

Its a yes from me. Ban them from public sale.
99% of the bellends that think its fun to let them off in public probably don't even know the history behind Bonfire/Guy Fawkes night.

Re: Little things that irritate you
It is definitely time to ban the sale of fireworks to the general public. I'm amazed it still happens at all, given how sensitive we've become over here about the sale of anything potentially dangerous.
Special licenses should be made available to anyone wanting to put on a display, because trusting people to use them responsibly has never worked. Deeply antisocial.
