Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Yeah, I like to drink my tea whilst it's hot but I wont neck it.

The mrs practically lets it get cold, the weirdo.

Clickbait articles. They can't just write a headline "container overboard causes shoes to wash up on beach", it's got to have a leading question in order to get people to click on it.

I do this. Well, with coffee, as I don't drink tea.

As it goes, it's also an irritation of mine, because despite having coffees at the in-laws for the past 10 years, they still chase me up to drink it with the 'drink your coffee or it'll go cold' and 'your coffee must be cold by now, you want a fresh one?'

No, I've shown patience by waiting for the temperature to drop sufficiently so it's how I like it, so if you now touch my coffee, I'll stick a magnet on your pacemaker, so bugger off.

They're passive aggressively calling you a **** for drinking cold coffee there DL.

Still, it's better than people who don't drink tea or coffee. You can't trust those people.

I don't go on any of the BBC websites anymore, they are just trash. The football website is obsessed with the big clubs, worse than Sky for that, and the News website is always filled with articles about gender issues, made up health scares (not eating quinoa reduces your life expectancy by 0.000001%!), or something about someone being offended over something really minor (all with click bait headlines). I use Al Jazeera for news and it is far more informative and generally unbiased. One of my wife's workmates said, "but isn't that a terrorist website!"

Dealing with the aftermath of a break in at my wife's business and finding out at least 7 other premises were hit last night in Collier Row.

Those new cameras with the TV screens that show you your face above the self service checkouts in Sainsbury's - you know, to properly make you feel like a criminal when you're just trying to grab some lunch.

And coffins.

The Lovely Ms. Eggs watches Emmerdale and a couple of weeks ago they had the funeral for the character Lisa Dingle. Now she is/was a bit of a unit, but when they carried her coffin, I would have said she'd been cremated and then put in the box.

This is a major irritation of mine. You're round someones house, they do you a tea or coffee & it comes up like it's been made in Chernobyl. Not far off the temperature of the surface of the Sun. Impossible to even sip.
So you put it down on the floor but forget about it & when you remember, it's now freezing cold & equally not nice to drink.
If I make someone a hot drink, it's ready to drink now, not at some point in the distant future.
