Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

We had a security meeting at work today from a guy in our IT department, he was talking about the Dark Web. He made a comment like only 4% of the internet is available with over 80% being the Dark web.

He said he was able to access it quite easily, but he is competent with IT.

So my question is, surely that percentage is wrong? Surely it can't have that much information on it? Secondly if he can access it, why can't the police?

Are you sure his 80% comment was about the "dark web" or the "deep web"? If the former, it's complete bolleaux, if the latter, it's allegedly true

"Deep web" = content not generally publicly available including intranets and other corporate, academic and personal respositories.

Ah must have been the Deep Web then, still find that absolutely mind boggling.

Then again I visit about 8 sites, so probably missing out on a fair bit.

Please tell me you're joking about that one. You've actually heard someone say "rape" as a positive term?

How many of those 8 contain ladies with a lack of clothing?

Honestly cannot believe that, not even sure how any positive connotation can come from the word rape.

Have heard the term "disgustingly good" and never really understood it, but ho hum.

When your supervisor emails you last thing on a Friday afternoon, just as you are packing away to catch a train the following

"Could we have a quick chat?"

Resulting in a conversation that was interesting but could have waited till Monday meaning you miss your train and have to spend another hour at uni instead of back home. :arry:

Weekend drivers. Unpredictable bastards that they are. At least weekday drivers, the ones encountered on the commute, white van man etc - you can generally tell what they are going to do with some degree of certainty. However, weekend drivers show new levels of fuckwittery every time I encounter the c****.

If you don't regularly drive over half the days in a week, then you should have your license revoked...

If you only ever drive on a weekend - then you should be shot.
