Re: Little things that irritate you
Isn't the Superbowl more about the half time show than the sport now anyway?
I've seen lots in the news about Beyonce being on there - she apparently upstaged Coldplay, did a lot of dancing, pulled a lot of gurning faces like she did a couple years ago, and apparently the whole show went on for 13 minutes or something.
I have no idea which teams played or who won though.

Personal Trainers are the ****ing worst for this .woodford wrote:Inspirational quotes on linkedin

Total horseshit.
All about managers and leaders, with passion and vision for tomorrow, treating others with respect and nurturing talent. Oh **** off
who really gets inspired by this enough to download then post it anywhere
Having said that , I have one quote on my lock screen on phone to deal with my procrastination issues .
Just says
'Doubt is only removed by action. If you're not working that's when doubt comes in'
Sums up my life perfectly and I don't see it as inspirational, it just reminds me to be less of a lazy ****.

Storm names.

Or rather the way TV companies seem desperate to force us to like it.
I don't give a **** about it and the obsessive push by sky media is ****ing annoying.

Every so often they'll be an article or tv segment on 'when will football take off in the US?'
In my life I've seen the same story about 30-40 times. And i dont give a ***** if americans ever start liking soccer. Who really cares.

Agree with the NFL post.
Awful sport, when are they going to realise that a large proportion of the UK simply isn't bothered by the sport? So stop trying us to buy tickets for Wembley and shoving it down our throats on Sky, it's embarrassing.

Given the 83,000+ people that watched the last nine games at Wembley, I'd say there's a decent enough following for the NFL.

Re: Little things that irritate you
I'm totally sick of the woman I work with.
Everything has to be a drama. Every conversation has to be full of sensationalist nonsense. I barely join in but just listening to it is slowly killing me.
Talking about the town we live in and every area that's discussed 'oh I'd never go there at night, you'll get stabbed', 'you wouldn't want to park your car there, unless you want to have your tyres slashed'.
Holidays, 'I was going to go to Turkey but with all the problems in Syria I think I'd rather stay at home. I don't want to die or go to a war zone.'
It goes on and on. I reckon this is one of the safest places to live, possibly in the world. There isn't a single area of this town I wouldn't walk around at all hours of the day.

people talking about diets, sugar, sweeteners, fat etc etc, it feels like i hear the bloody conversation every ****ing week. I couldn't give a f***, if you don't agree with sugar, don't put it in your tea. It bores the pants off of me. The fact that Nutritional guidelines seem to bloody change every week it never stops. Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly and shut the f*** up.

I have no issue with people liking NFL or it being on the tele, I just get bored of the hype and it being forced on me constantly.

You obviously don't know much about the sport sendo, because 90% of it is hype.sendô wrote:I just get bored of the hype
Without the hype there isn't that much going for it, if we lose that we lose the NFL!!!

Re: Little things that irritate you
After incessant emails regarding Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, January Sales, etc, I'm now getting them for Valentines. From florists & restaurants I can understand, but I received one today offering a special Valentines discount on Pond Supplies.
After all, nothing says 'I love you' more than a bottle of Blanket Weed remover.
