Guaranteed the p***** had the motor out of it on day one. Now it is useless.

A mate of mine re-did his kitchen and as a result had separate, under counter fridge and freezer fitted.psychoscoredthelot wrote:bloke round my way left his fridge outside his house - its been there 2 weeks now
Stuck his combo on his drive with a free to good home sign on it one Saturday morning.
Called me up later that day saying over a dozen people had given it the once over but no takers.
His Mrs changed the sign to £75 ovno.
Was gone (nicked) within half an hour
Marketing in a nutshell, perhaps?

An old friend of mine used to live in KZN in South Africa.
He always tells the story of how to get rid of broken appliances etc......he used to take it the end of his property and chain it up. It was guaranteed to be gone in the morning. The key, he said, was chaining it up - if you didn't chain it up they would not steal it as the would presume it had no value !!

Re: Little things that irritate you
Decided to start looking at what 10p, 50p & £2 coins I get in my change as some can be worth a few bob. Been a few months since deciding to do this and I barely get any. Stupid self service machines just chuck out £1 and 20p coins. I had an occasional look previously and noticed the different designs but never kept them but now I do want to get some I get sod all!

Fibbing B'stards on Ebay. Show item as dispatched on Tuesday with a tracking code. Package only shows up on RM item tracker this morning as posted at 18:20 last night. Marked down for that I reckon.

Car insurance. Done compare the market for my renewal on a 1.6 D 2016 Civic.. £393. So, as I was there, cheekily done a quote on a new Type-R. Exact same details, only the car had changed. £429.
How the hell does that work? 120bhp vs 316 bhp. 20k vs 30k. Mundane vs loopy.
Either the Type-R is ridiculously low, or I'm being mugged off for a 1.6 oil burner...

It’s not your car that constitutes the risk, it’s everyone else’s. The c**ts.-DL- wrote:Car insurance. Done compare the market for my renewal on a 1.6 D 2016 Civic.. £393. So, as I was there, cheekily done a quote on a new Type-R. Exact same details, only the car had changed. £429.

Avocado, and how every sandwich/wrap etc in any sandwich shop that is leaning towards "healthy" seems to have it in it.

The Type-R is my dream.I don't really get excited over motors, but that is the one which I buy while I'm dreaming.-DL- wrote:Car insurance. I went sensible to get the Mrs in to the Civic. I swear a Type-R will be next one. I will grind her down until she says yes.Robbie wrote: The Type-R is my dream.I don't really get excited over motors, but that is the one which I buy while I'm dreaming.
Problem is, I've had my sensible one since the end of November and she's only got to drive it twice so far - and they were short local trips

Re: Little things that irritate you
Just walked into the airport lounge and there’s some fckwif on a conference call with speaker phone cranked up full volume. I politely went over and told said fckwit to turn it down or stick some earphones on which he reluctantly did. I don’t know what irritated me the most in that situation, the guy on the conference call or the countless other people who just put up with it and said nothing. Maybe I’ve got a lower tolerance for fckwittery as I can’t understand how people would not say anything??

I had one of these about 14 years ago, and then I had to grow up.-DL- wrote:
