Decided to make a bacon sandwich this morning, to take to the office. Ended up burning the bacon, putting me in an absolutely foul mood.

A few years ago in Ingatestone I did the same and had broken my wrist a few days before.

I was trying the change the wheel one handed when a guy came out of his house and offered to do it. I got lucky there as he was from an F1 pit crew. That tyre was changed in double quick time.

instead of a maximum speed limit, put a minimum speed limit per lane
Ie, no vehicle doing less than 60 can use lane 2 outwards, that would stop the ****ing asshole HGV drivers overtaking doing .0002 mph faster than the HGV to their left

100%. We've got speed cameras to make sure no-one's doing 70 in a variable 60, but nothing to enforce all the sh*t lane discipline that's the source of the real problems.

Know that pain, Mb. It's SO easy to do, isn't it.
Is it just the rim? Is it still driveable/roadworthy?
If yes, don't let it bother you. They're usually quite refurbable but why pay out now, you might do it again.
Don't get it done until you decide to sell it one day, it's only cosmetic. The engine's the most important part of a car, imo.

My wife is selling a load of the boy's old toys on Facebook. She just left for work, and I say to her "What's that bag by the door?" so she replies, "Oh, it's some of Isaac's old stuff, someone is coming round at 12 to pick it up. She'll owe you £4"

So I say "I may not be here, I was thinking of popping out and going somewhere (with my camera)"

"Well I've told her now someone will be here"

"Well you can un-tell her, because I'm going out"

Cue the front door being closed by her in a strop and her doing what females do and giving it the "Fine"

WTF? I knew nothing about this, she's the one that's made arrangements and just presumed I'm going to sit in for the sake of £4, and now I'm the one that's in the dog house.

I love her to bits, but it's times like this I have the urge to poke her in the eye :D

It has proper irritated me!

Similar to "Shall we go.....?"

Translates to "We're going to...."

“Remember, I said about...”, is both grammatically questionable AND an acutely irritating way of telling me “I vaguely mumbled something at you while you were busy, and because you didn’t say ‘no’ there and then, I took that to mean you agreed”.

Get in the office first thing this morning to find the Fluorescence fitting above my head flashing.
Anywhere else and it would be a five minute job, whereas in the building services department, you'll be lucky to have it sorted within the next week or so.
