Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Ah, meant they'd paid for the hardware and some of his time but haven't paid the majority of the money yet, although apparently he kept asking them at various times in the past 12 months for more dough.

He's a Brit ex-pat, which is why he's supposedly in demand. I said at the time we should consider sending Parkesy & Son over for a month or so to do the job properly. In fact, it's looking like they'll be getting Phil Jr. to do a bunch more work for them after this ass-clown has finished. Cheaper to fly him over to stay onsite for a few weeks, and they know they'll get a proper job done.

When you've eaten lunch and you're still exactly as hungry as you were before you'd eaten it.

Don't worry, I'm not hungry any more. Not since someone decided to microwave a plate of scrambled eggs and FISH in the offis kitchen.

I'm outta here for at least half an hour. That is just rank.

Because they need to be able to share photos of their lunch and brag to each other about how their paleo diets are helping them with their "gains". And that's just the dorises.

I have a colleague who eats roll mops every day in the staff room. Just the sight of them makes my stomach turn.

Mackerel is delicious!

Sardines on toast in the morning, with a bit of pepper and salad cream and a cuppa tea is a winner too.

Young people I employ spending all their time texting not working and being unproductive.
All the older people 50 plus seem to have a better work ethic.
Hate generalizing but that's how it is here.

There is definitely a generational divide on phone use at work.

Twentysomethings and teens know no different, they don't remember a time when mobile phones didn't exist or at the very least we're few and far between.

Idiots who park so close to your driver's door that you can't get in your car and made worse by the fact the car park isn't even that busy, so no need to even park in the space next door.
