Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Idiot commuters. I get the train from Waterloo to Earlsfield every day, so am always against the main flow of people. Occasionally (particularly if a train is delayed so I don't know when it's arriving) I'll walk onto the platform just as a train is pulling in. I'm then faced by an army of 200+ people walking towards me, and the almost impossible task of trying to avoid almost all of them at once. One day one of them will get a shoulder in their face and I'll have absolutely no sympathy.

When I used to live in Bishop's Stortford and I worked shifts I used to have this problem. I called it briefcase knee from all the twat commuters smashing their briefcases into me. Anyway, I ended up having a bit of a Jev's moment after one guy smashed me full on in the knee. I grabbed him, made a small threat and then after he apologised I walked off. To be honest I didn't feel very good about myself.

It's even more annoying when the twat is staring at their phone screen and not looking where they're going.

Easiest thing is just to stand directly to the side of the door about 4ft away.

No one ever comes off a train and immediately moves left or right, it's always out then to a direction.
Anyone else farther down will be moving outwards also to avoid this particular door's flow.

You just stand there, in the pocket, happy as Larry.

The main problem for me was getting from Liverpool Street tube to the platform for the Stortford train. I imagine Liverpool Street has been refurbished since those days and the crush isn't as bad as it was then.

Got it to install at last. A wireless LAN card was causing the problem. I imagine the driver for it is not compatible.

I had my Graduation Ceremony yesterday. Happened to coincide with the first cold/flu/virus since I quit smoking nearly 18 months ago. Therefore, I felt too ill to drink anything other than gallons of water and couldn't even eat the top notch meal that the Uni put on for us all afterwards.
Really hacked off over it all, especially how ill I look in all the photographs

Not a dig at Dave, but the people posting on social media that they are suffering (dying) with flu.

No you're not, if you had flu you wouldn't even be thinking about posting on social media, let alone have the energy to do so!

Proper flu is a nasty b*stard, literally bed ridden for a week, as the slightest movement hurts.

Sound like a severe case of man flu* though..

This irritates me. Not you Somerset - but man flu.

I've had a stinking cold for the past week or so, and get fed uup with all the shitty man=flu comment.

'Oh, you get man flu?'

'No, I have not. I've got a cold. So f*** off with the man-flu crap.'

This annoying Thames Water video that keeps popping up on my FB feed. I wouldn't mind, as the message is sound enough, but why did they get RARS to present it?

It sure is, & how irritating is that?
A fine example is the TV show Loose women. Sexism in the extreme.
How long would a show called Chauvinist blokes last?
