My dad passed away on Sunday. Some **** broke into his empty house last night.

Thanks mate. Turns out it's a 'friend' of a relative. Unfortunately/fortunately, the police were informed before we could kick his teeth out.somerset-hammer wrote:

Had a great day - come home and Mrs and daughter in tears = my cat has been killed/run over. Great day then terrible day. Very irritating.

Yep, sorry to hear of your families loss, Georgee. The death of pets is very painful.

Golden Balls getting off of his speeding fine because of a (Mr) loophole.
Still, at least now we all can use that get out (if applicable) & it won't have cost us £1000's, like it probably did him.

That lawyer is an utter piece of filth. Hopefully he gets hit by a speeding driver one day.Samba wrote:Golden Balls getting off of his speeding fine because of a (Mr) loophole.

i dont agree with you , the lawyer did his job , the police or cps didnt , he was worth the fee because he got his client the result , which grates with the majority of us , but we have to accept it. we would all try to do the same , if placed n the same posiion

I wouldn’t, and using petty technicalities to protect people who consider themselves above laws that are there for everyone’s safety is a grotty way to make a living.chigwells finest wrote:i dont agree with you , the lawyer did his job , the police or cps didnt , he was worth the fee because he got his client the result , which grates with the majority of us , but we have to accept it. we would all try to do the same , if placed n the same posiion

The law and politics are both dishonourable professions that can (with a few exceptions) attract the wrong person.........

Din't Beckham get off because the speeding notice, by law, has to be served within 14 days, and it arrived a day late?

Re: Little things that irritate you
He's not the first to have got off because of that, and he won't be the last.
The fourteen day requirement is as much part of the law as keeping to the speed limit. The fault lies one hundred percent with whoever has the job of issuing the summons.
