Re: Little things that irritate you
Well I went into Nero this morning and asked for a large cappuccino, but what I was given was more of a large latte with some chocolate sprinkled on top. That was irritating.
You're right though. It's probably only a decade ago that you couldn't get decent coffee anywhere.

Re: Little things that irritate you
I have a very nice filter machine, I buy beans from a roaster near my office and grind them myself so I am not exactly a philistine when it comes to coffee.
But that doesn't mean I'm not perfectly happy to grab a Flat White from Costa on the way in to work.

Re: Little things that irritate you
My 3TB internal hard drive failing - with 2.5TB of data on. All music and movies and such like. Now exacerbated by having to do the long and arduous task of recovering it all - currently running at 150KB a second, coupled with having to keep pausing and restarting when the drive drops out.
Partly myself to blame - I didn't realise that I have not backed any of it up since April 2015...

Good coffee doesn't need milk, so stop moaning about too much milk and not enough froth etc.

So a black filter or Americano is the only ‘proper’ coffee then? All the years those Italians wasted perfecting the cappuccino...

Waiting at a T junction getting ready to turn right. Car comes from left turning into your road. Really pisses me off when they cut the corner nearly taking the nose of your car with them. Seems to happen a lot

So refreshing when they stop just before they're in front of you & let you go first. So long as there's nobody undertaking them at the same time, of course..

Any metal that's left on my road is gone in minutes. There's a huge amount of ... ahem ... purveyors of scrap metal that it's standard on my estate.westham, eggyandchips wrote:People that think its acceptable to put old white goods, beds and sofas in the street when they don't want them anymore.

Round my way anything metal that's stuck out in the road in gone in a matter of hours.
Word to the wise though chaps - if you leave a fridge out expect the p***** to simply nick the motor out of it and leave the fridge. You'll probably have to take it to the dump yourself.

Re: Little things that irritate you
When I lived in Dalston we changed our washing machine. The old one was left outside for a couple of days (in our front yard) awaiting a guy to come and collect it. There was a squat nearby, one of the blokes from there was nosing around it. My wife said that it still worked, it was just a bit old and might need some repairs or whatever in the near future. He pulled a funny face as if we were c**** for not leaving him a top of the range Bosch for him to come and take for nothing. He still took it though.

Ignorant gits. We've got a nice bit of forest behind our place which is messed up with the above and bags of plaster and stuff. There's a council recycling plant about half a mile away.westham, eggyandchips wrote:People that think its acceptable to put old white goods, beds and sofas in the street when they don't want them anymore.
