I always do this if I feel the car behind me isn't leaving adequate space. The closer I'm tailgated, the slower I'll maneuver.

If I've got someone up my arse, I like to take my foot off the accelerator and let my speed drop by 10mph if in a 30 zone, and then quickly accelerate back up to about 35 to create space, then repeat until they get the message.

I took my kid to the House of Vans last year to their sunday morning skate school. The instructors there patiently helped teach her to ride the shallow transition whilst I went and had a skate round the main park. Feeling like I had my skate legs on, I went fast up the big transition at the end of the park, and landed a huge frontside ollie onto the flat coming down. As I rode off the ramp, there was a load of whooping and hollering and boards being smacked on the floor in appreciation of someone. so I looked round to see who they were congratulating. One of the instructors pointed at me and shouted "We saw that! We saw! That's for you, mate!".
