The John Lewis Christmas Advert, not their best but good sound track (although I am waiting for 'Carry that weight' to kick in at the end).

I'm guessing that's Malaysia. The skinhead scene over there is huge. Strange bunch as you can see.

Sitting through a presentation where someone managed to get through 84 Powerpoint slides in one hour forty minutes.

Eighty - ****ing - four. Image

less than one per minute... amateur! Image

i generally double the number of slides of my presentations adding blank slides, so that people see the number and panics.

Ah, you could be right. The lack of "Muslim Skinhead Pride" shirts (I kid you not) made me think it's Malaysia.

Whenever I have to do a slideshow, I always put 1 of 186 or some other ridiculous number on the first slide. You can hear the dejection as soon as it appears :D

Story I read today about Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan ...

Spike Milligan describes how he received a late night call from Sellers, who was desperately trying to find the source of a squeak in the boot of his new Rolls-Royce. Dutifully, Milligan headed to the rescue. Sellers, in pyjamas, persuaded his friend to climb into the car boot with a piece of chalk and a torch while the Rolls was driven around the district. Milligan climbed in and drove off with Sellers. Suddenly the car stopped and Milligan heard crunching footsteps and mumbled conversation. The police had seen Sellers driving erratically in order to make the boot squeak. The lid was jerked open "to find an unshaven tousled-haired man in the boot in his pajamas on his knees drawing little white crosses on the floor. The policeman shone his torch full in Milligan's face. 'Oh', he said, 'It's you'."

Seeing an old geezer wearing a t shirt with this on:

Made me dream up a scenario in the MoD on the day we go to war with North Korea:

- General, which units do we have ready to fly out?
- Royal Marines, Sir
- Check
- SAS, Sir
- Check
- Sir, Cider Army, Sir
- Errrrrrrm, better leave them at home. They do their most effective work in the pubs of South West England.
