Dealing with a customer with the surname Kumburger! Luckily it was by email and not face to face!

Bless her. Seem so happy, dream come true.

Picking and eating the bumper crop of cheeries from the cherry tree in the back garden.
Especially when I see the price of the things in the supermarkets.

The Black & Decker workmate. Just a sensational piece of design.
Also, my growing confidence as an engineer, outside of the confines of my training (Electronic & Electrical Engineering) and my profession (IT Systems Engineer). Missing a pressure screw for one of the baby gates, replacement packs of 4 were all that was available. So I found a coach screw of the same gauge in the shed, cut it to the correct length, then affixed a stopper with araldite - works perfectly.
Helps that I have a properly organised and stocked tool shed, of course. I bloody love that shed, me. I seriously doubt I'd have thought to find a solution like that in the past, I'd have just sunk another £10 on Amazon.

If you took a photo of that it would now be illegal. Won't be long before we could get arrested for imagining what you saw.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
You could of just bought a piece of cut studding/allthread plenty off a decent fastener company, you can buy them on there own would of cost pennies, oh and being a bit of a fastener pedant, it would of been a coach bolt you cut down not a screwDasNutNock wrote:The Black & Decker workmate. It was a coach bolt, yes. I cut the threaded piece off.
I could have bought lots of things to do the job, instead I used some bits I had in the shed

Indeed, as it was I was lucky to get away with having my trousers around my ankles.Georgee Paris wrote:If you took a photo of that it would now be illegal. Won't be long before we could get arrested for imagining what you saw.
