Little things in life that make you smile

Garages can be used to store cars? I thought they were only there for storing boxes of unwanted sh*te.

Mine has the old pop up gazebo in it, the thing is totally ****ed and unusable, but I keep it in there just in case I find some sort of use, my garage is full of crap like that
Every couple of years the Mrs makes me clean it out when it gets to the point she can't even see her bycicle let alone get it out to ride it

By keeping it meticulous.

Which I don't do so it's on the drive.

I converted my garage into a cave of masculinity.

Big arse TV, playstation 1 and 2, n64, sega megadrive, dart board, beer fridge, obscure film posters on the walls, proper sound system, projector set up. It also has heating and no windows. It's the tits.

I'd love a house with a garage. I currently rent one a few streets away which has no power or light in it which restricts what I can do.

No light makes it tricky when you're sawing the bodies up, huh?

Me too.

Keeps the car safe though, and I do have a little grin in the winter when neighbours are scraping the ice from their cars. :)

I just want one to work on my motorbikes. Got three wedged into the small space that's called a garage and one out on the street. I'd live in a studio flat that had a double garage and be perfectly happy. My missus would probably leave me though.

Mine was already converted when I bought it for exactly that reason. Guy had 3 bikes in it. I get the impression he spent nearly all his time down there.

Replying to an irate developer who complained that his VM was offline, copying in all & sundry, as follows:

"Hi there,

This has been resolved by powering the VM back up, after it was shut down by you yesterday at 8:32pm EST."

I love moments like that. I'm an app support specialist and I get a lot of this. They break stuff on their integration environment and expect us to fix it. WTF ??

Aye, I love supporting the Dev platforms. Prod has the decent SLAs so we never let anyone near them. Dev teams don't seem to realise we have no SLA for them and I could delete all 2500 of their VMs without needing change approval, if I decided to.
