Thanks for all the kind words fellas.it really means a lot, and today me and the missus went to Headcorn airshow and the Vulcan did a display. Wow! I know the word awesome gets thrown around quite a lot, but that plane really is AWESOME.its also deafening too.
Shame about the result today but it's all about perspective

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Turn up to football yesterday for my 6 a side team 'The Chaps'. Our current kit, Mexico's latest fare, is superb, Black and green tops, white shorts and then a red sock and a green sock to complete the flag which runs along the trim of the shirt. Sadly though, a lot of teams in the league wear black and we are constantly having to wear bibs over the top of them. A huge irritant for a purist like myself.
Anyway, yesterday there's this big kit bag next to wear all my team are getting ready. I am the last person to arrive and a subsequent announcement is made that we have been brought a new away kit. It turns out it's the actual away kit of two seasons ago worn by West Ham's ladies team for that season. Full set of shirts, shorts and socks. I was delighted.

Getting £70 off a 4k UHD tv from a famous outlet renown for their customer services.
The first time I was in their I was treated like **** and the staff were either smoking, surfing the internet or chatting amongst themselves - no mete ad greet nothing; and this isn't the biggest shop in the world either.
One complaint to head office later - managers discount of £70 on a decent 4KHD TV. Result.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
When I moved into my house last year I chose not to use one of the 'big 6' for my energy.
For the first year my bills were fairly standard and inline with the usual lot. I had to give them my meter reading at least eery 3 months.
Today got a letter saying they were lowing my monthly prices by 30% and a check for £800 odd back that I hadn't used in electric, a lovely gift halfway through the month

Bowling about the house today in baggy shorts and last season's home top and getting a DPD delivery from an Asian driver that can hardly speak a word of English only to hear him say and in a thick Indian accent 'Ah West Ham. My team. Come on you Irons' and giving it the crossed Hammers sign!

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Visiting relatives in Plymouth only to find out once I am there that I had guest list status for British Lions gig in town. That plus it was a great gig, the bouncers were the best I have ever met and the booze was a decent price. A nice little touch was seeing Steve Harris on stage not only with WHU wristbands on, but a WHU scarf wapped around his guitar strap and held on by loads of WHU badges.
Ann additional bonus was finding a pub after the gig that took us in and did afters. The bar staff were amazing too. After drinking cider, lager, Bailies, whisky and Damson Gin, the final thing that made me smile was that I didn't gave a hangover either! Touch!

This could have ended up in the irritations thread if he had made his piss on your front door step-DL- wrote:Bowling about the house today in baggy shorts and last season's home top and getting a DPD delivery from an Asian driver that can hardly speak a word of English only to hear him say and in a thick Indian accent 'Ah West Ham.
