Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Happy days that Sendo

Your crap comment, I was always half decent at football, remember my eldest first game, was really looking forward to see how good he was, take after his old man etc, I can be a proud dad on the touchline and say "yep, that's my boy" - he was shockingly bad, if he didn't look like me I would have had a DNA test done...

Then after the game "how did I do Dad?" I wanted to say "f*** me how **** are you!!!" But done the correct dad thing instead. Now he is 27 we joke about it now, fond memories that will stay with you, enjoy.

It's been about a fortnight since I last had a shave, and go to do my usual kiss on the cheek when my little 'un heads off to school, and he backs off and says 'get away from me cactus face' :D

Proper tickled me.

Good point, yes that was terrible. Thanks for the concern. I've worked in Nairobi before but for this trip I took another flight to Tanzania where I'm currently sat. By the lake in the sun so not so bad.

The talent to kill a thread dead ..... :D

When you look down the whole page of threads and you find yourself as the last person to have posted on many of those threads.

Then hoping someone comes along and makes a post so that they become Billy No Friends instead of you.

Still marginally better than starting a thread off & no one (or not many) posting on it...

Sitting in a work meeting, talking about pipe sensors, and a company director talking about "strap ons", with me trying my hardest not to laugh.

Even better was when he looked directly at me (as in fairness I am their manager) and asking me with a straight face if I wanted him to use a strap on or not.

I somehow resisted the urge to say "only if I get a reach around".
