Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

I was thinking more of "Dan's spunk". Which is not a sentence I've used before.

We both know that's a lie.

The McDonald's on Oxford Street might as well be a front for a modelling agency, such is the standard of skirt in there.

I nearly crashed the car on the way home after seeing this rather attractive lady walk past, I had to do a u-turn and go past her again, a shortish t-shirt and bra-free funbags .... brought a smile to my face!! :scarfer:

House opposite had just has some scaffolding put up. Down by the side of the house is a narrow alleyway that the scaffold lorry went up.

So, up the scaffold went, round the front, side and rear of the house.

I'm sitting in my dining room and can hear shouting and a fair amount of swearing. After the scaffold went up, there wasn't enough room down the side for the lorry to get out again.

Down came the scaffolding

Returning home after a night away for work, to be greeted by my 4 year old son in a West Ham tshirt (the old badge with the castle on).

"Dad, I want West Ham pants, West Ham shorts and West Ham slippers".

Walking home from the local shops today and as I approached a T-junction, a white convertible Merc rolled up. In it sat this white haired geezer, mid sixties, possibly just retired, shades on. In one hand he had an orange flavoured Solero ice lolly and on the car’s sound system the Spice Girls was blaring OUT.

He gave me a nod and a big smile that said “I’ve got a Solero and Wannabe and I don’t givafuk”. I gave him a nod back and a thumbs-up and with that, he roared off down the road.

I thought that bloke was LIVING HIS BEST LIFE and now I have aspirations. Or maybe it was a time-slip vision of near-future me in some self fulfilling loop. Either way, it’s best to enjoy the small things, even if you haven’t got a sports car. All you need is Ginger Spice and an ice lolly.
