Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Usually have TS on in the car if I'm driving up to Colchester for work. This morning was a good crack with McCoist and that Irish kid from some band.

Had a section on historic clips, and along with the quite superb one when Brazil asked if Bob Monkhouse was okay (after being dead for 3 months).

There was this corker that I hadn't heard before.

I don't like the social media thing, it all came too late for me really..........I have almost all users down as complete ****wits.....(cept Els)... :)

But, with one caveat

And that's the absolute pelters football fans give Richard Keys on his twitter page. I go there when I need cheering up.

If I've seen the hairy hands joke once I've seen it a million times. ....Image

God bless you all.....you little twitterersers....... :scarfer:

Just reading Noble Man's post in "The Little things that irritate you" thread about people who have to be first in the queue when boarding a plane, reminded me of one of our family trips to Florida a few years back.

There was this family (Mum, Dad, two kids) on our flight out of Gatwick. There they were, jostling to check in asap, jostling to get through passport control asap, running spikes on to get on the plane first................. Anyway, plane no sooner touches down in The States and there they are, safety belts off, out of their seats, baggage in hand and first off the plane!

Us little crowd finally get off and eventually join the queue to get into the good old USA when from the front of the queue walking to the back was said family with Mum chewing Dad's ear off. In their continued need to be the first they'd filled their landing cards out all wrong and got sent to the back to fill them out correctly! Pure karma!!

Princess Eugenies fiancé on the news, the archetypal chinless wonder, made me think of Tim nice but dim. I’m sure he’s a bloody nice bloke!

To (try to) be fair, diplomacy on behalf of just about any country has involved palling up with whoever suits you at the time. Otherwise it wouldn't be 'diplomacy'. I do wonder if any of the Royals have said 'no!' to the govt re. meeting someone they disapprove of.

Probably not the place for this but what the hell, it made me smile. Actually it made me laugh more than it probably should have, but the sound at the end... It's just so satisfying.

Driving through Bermondsey earlier today and I was behind a white van with a big cross hammers written in the dirt on the back doors complete with WHUFC. As I get closer I can see something about Wrexham written underneath, then when I get right up close behind it I can Millwall spelt without the "i" and with 5 letter L's.......
