Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Mohammed Anas in huge interview cock up, from the BBC
A footballer whose post-match interview went viral after he thanked his wife and girlfriend has denied being unfaithful.
Ghanaian Mohammed Anas, of South Africa's Free State Stars, told the BBC he was referring to his daughter.
"My family knows that I call my daughter my girlfriend. That's what I was talking about. I don't have a girlfriend," he said.
Anas said he was not worried about his wife's reaction.
He said he was surprised how many people had watched the video.
"I'm famous now - people around the world know me," the footballer said.
He added he has been with his wife, who is South African, for seven years.
"I love her so much. She's given me two beautiful children. She is fine. She knows what kind of man I am so I am not worried," he said.
Anas made the slip of the tongue after being interviewed about his man-of-the-match performance in his team's 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town last Friday.
In the interview, the footballer says: "Thank you very much for giving me this. And I appreciate my fans, also my wife and my girlfriend..."
He hurriedly corrected himself: "I mean my wife, sorry to say. I'm sorry, my wife."
The video has been viewed more than 250,000 times on video sharing platform YouTube, as well as other social media networks.

I'm not sure that an "explanation" that implies he's dating his daughter is any kind of improvement

Oh yes must've been, he then proceeded to tell her about talking to another girl for a few weeks but she wasn't on the same page so he couldn't be arsed to meet up with her. I wish I could have concentrated more on the football, but this became more entertaining.

Warp - that reminds me of being in a pub garden once with two little kids running in and out. One of them opens a couple of those little portions of butter, holds it in his open hand and hides behind the door. He calls his bro, who then runs through the doorway slap bang into a face full of butter. Genius slapstick comedy from one so young!!

Eggy mate. You've missed absolutely f**k all.

I've made a donation, but content wise, it's absolutely dire. I think this year, if donations were entertainment driven, they'd most probably ended up with about 30 bob.
