Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Nirvana on Top of the Pops! Heard about it but never watched it till this weekend. The start where Kurt waves his hand over the guitar and sings 'Load up on drugs and kill your friends!' is brilliant. Check out some of Dave's drumming too.

Just on the Daily Politics show, outside No.10 the BBC Ireland political correspondent talking about NI Agreement.
Says something like as normal with the agreement it tends to be one step forward and two steps back, just as in the background a bloke walks in to No 10 and trips up the step.

Being nick-named 'Neil' by the engineers at work. Every time they called me over the radio they called me it.

'Why the f*** do you keep calling me Neil?' I asked.

'Because you were West Ham Nick, but as we keep hearing it when the results are read out, we thought we'd call you West Ham Nil instead....'

Got to love the wit of Nigels and The Wall Fans that are all too prevalent at work...

Now that isn't a bad idea! I might go the whole hog and do what I did to my MKIV Cortina back in the 80s and have a "Cockney Hammers" sun strip across the top fo the windscreen.

A decent score on the Times daily quiz. Today 7/15, only one point off my all-time PB.

Saw a clip of Alan Shearer on the News last night talking about football's effects on Dementia and Jen pops up with - ' Is that from headbutting the ball then ? ' . :)

To be fair she was lying on the sofa tucked up under a duvet suffering from the flu .

Grand Old Team.

The reaction to Samuel ending up there is funny in itself - but when you add it to some of the b*llocks said about them in the summer.... Image

When I get in from work at 21.45 to discover my neighbours on each side have parked one of the three cars in their families illegally across the road from my drive meaning I cannot get on my drive .

And treating them to maximum rock and roll , all the way up to volume 11 , until three this morning .

Boy they looked tired going to work this morning .

Round 2 tonight : Motorhead .

Have you considered deploying the "Jevs Manoeuvre", or saving that for Round 3 (if required)?
