Little things in life that make you smile

Sometimes my young kids like to respond in rhyme sometimes when you speak to them..."You're very cheeky!" "Well, you're very beaky!" etc...

So my little boy was grouching about something and I said "You're a moaner..."

"You're a boner!"

Had to try not to crease up...!

This chap who has just been jailed for stalking Sara Cox.

Now, I'm not mocking mental illness here, most know my sympathies in that direction...

It's just, the letter he wrote her (trying to get on her Radio show) probably wasn't going to get a positive response from our Coxy......Image

"Sara, I'm lonely. I have an extensive criminal record and to top all that I am seriously psychologically disturbed."

Snap DC.

I'd forwarded the opening line of his missive to a few female colleagues here this morning asking how they'd react to a slick chat up line such as this.

I'm not sure which part of the sentence makes me laugh most . I'm leaning towards "I have an extensive criminal record" but it's all great to be fair.

I like his use of the word "seriously"..........he didn't have to use it.

But no way was he going to underplay the level of his psychological disturbance to Sara.

The video of this kid being sworn in as a police officer had me in tears.

Yeah I saw that, made me chuckle too.

I think the next line was something like "Im lonely all my mates are dead and so is my brother".

Really enticing her in there.

I have read both Pryor's autobiography, and a comprehensive biography, but am struggling to recall any references to Rod Hull...
