if you let someone space on below market rent terms you have just devalued your asset massively

probably already answered but...

using my phone but I-pod was the same

whatever song I start the shuffle songs on, I pretty much always get the same set of songs. there's songs that I am pretty sure that I haven't heard on the playlist.

why is that ?

random generators are not really random. it's like a simulation of a random series of numbers, generated by some code. if the code is cheap you'll notice the non-randomity a lot more.

have you tried:
a) wiping your knob on the screen
b) taking the shuffle off and back on

a) it's a small Blackberry (the phone that is) and I would break it if the full weight of my knob was wiped across the screen

b) yes. loads of times

not saying it always plays the SAME songs but I would guess that about 75+% are the same songs. like I said I reckon I ain't heard a load of the songs on there.

I suppose that I could leave shuffle off. but I would have thought that I wouldn't hear the same songs over and over again. I even added another CD so in theory there were about another 12 or so songs that it could choose from. nope.

Yeah but it’s value is only what someone will actually pay. High streets all over the country are full of empty shops, so presumably there’s a consistent gap between market value and affordability.

Is there a 'resume' function? If not (or it's not switched on), then it's starting from scratch each time and doesn't 'know' what it played last time.

I switch the phone off every night (to save the battery) so it would always be "starting from scratch" every day.

am guessing then it refers to the actual continental U.S. and places like Samoa don't really count. it's listed as a U.S. territory.

I guess that we could include the British Virgin Islands in the U.K. time zone no ?

:D

Under United States law, an unincorporated territory is an area controlled by the United States government that is not "incorporated" for the purposes of United States constitutional law. In unincorporated territories, the U.S. Constitution applies only partially. In the absence of an organic law, a territory is classified as unorganized. In unincorporated territories, "fundamental rights apply as a matter of law, but other constitutional rights are not available".[1] Selected constitutional provisions apply, depending on congressional acts and judicial rulings according to U.S. constitutional practice, local tradition, and law.

I am actually glad this came up because I never knew the difference. that also applies to Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

interesting stuff

Never thought of that, it would make a good QI question. The answer is 9 by the way:

UTC -8 PST Pitcairn Standard Time Pitcairn Islands

UTC -5 EST Eastern Standard Time Cayman Islands

UTC -4 AST Atlantic Standard Time Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Montserrat
EDT Eastern Daylight Time Turks and Caicos Islands

UTC -3 ADT Atlantic Daylight Time Bermuda
FKST Falkland Islands Summer Time Falkland Islands

UTC -2 GST South Georgia Time South Georgia/Sandwich Is.

UTC +0 GMT Greenwich Mean Time Saint Helena

UTC +1 BST British Summer Time UK, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey

UTC +2 CEST Central European Summer Time Gibraltar

UTC +6 IOT Indian Chagos Time British Indian Ocean Territory
