According to the police, there are three conditions:

•They must wear a correctly fitted, safety approved helmet.
•They must be able to comfortably reach the foot-pegs (and if that means raising the foot-peg mounting points to accommodate a child on the pillion seat, that is perfectly legal).
•If the rider is under the age of 17, they must have a parent or guardian's consent to ride as a passenger on the motorcycle.

This is great news - children under 17 can legally be killed on a motorbike, not just adults!

Unless it falls on her in a fatal accident type scenario, then you've had a result.

I just quoted a post on another thread. At the end of the blokes sentence he used the high five smiley symbol.

Yet when I replied the high five was listed as clap, how is that.

If you quote this post you will see what I mean

Why are there so many American radio stations whose names are four letter acronyms, and why do they all seem to start with either the letter W or K?

Wow, I wish I hadn't asked now, that article made my brain ache. Thanks anyway.

So why over here do we have Capital Gold and Radio 6 Music rather than BFDJ and ELWQ?

because they are not grounded. current doesn't flow through them* as it would have nowhere to go.
if they were in contact with the wire and with earth (via the electric line post) or with two wires, the current would flow through them and fry them (easier to happen to squirrels than birds).

* not completely true: if the bird stands with both feet, technically he's in parallel with the wire. however the bird's electrical resistance is much higher than that of the wire, so the current passing through the animal is negligible.
