Why is my Facebook 'people you might know' section full of scary Eastern European gentlemen who look like if they knew me they'd kill me just for a laugh?

Does coffee cool quicker than tea?
I was a dyed in the wool tea drinker for 34 years but I could only drink it with a sugar in it. I decided to cut down on the sugar in my diet so tried to drink it without but couldn't manage it. I found though I could drink coffee without sugar so switched.
The thing I've found though is that coffee seems to get lukewarm ridiculously quick. I used to drink my tea very hot but put my coffee down for two minutes and it seems to be room temperature. Is there any science behind why this would be?

Leaving the just boiled water in the cup to let it brew heating the cup where coffee you pour the milk straight in after so the cup immediately starts to cool?

I could be talking bo***cks but could it be to do with the coffee granules being mixed causing yhe water temp to decrease in relation to the increase in the granule which causes it to solute?
Whereas with tea it is more of an infusion/osmosis type thing so the water stays hotter longer?

I thought that coffee should have been made with boiling water? Heard somewhere that it scorches the beans or something like that?

similar principles, and you don't want coffee powder in what you drink, hence the filter.chelmsfordhammer91 wrote:I could be talking bo***cks but could it be to do with the coffee granules being mixed causing yhe water temp to decrease in relation to the increase in the granule which causes it to solute?

i think there shouldn't be much difference, but we need (James P needs) to collect more data.
initial temperatures of liquid and cup are essential, and of course you need to have equal amounts of liquid to start with.

fair point, actually measuring it is not easy.James P wrote:Best way to take the temperature of a cup?
you can assume room temperature if you've left the cups long enough in the room.
the important thing is to use two cups at the same temperature - store them together and you'll be ok.

Visiting the The Saucy Fish Co might do it, click on their ad then pop back, she's blonde, bit titted and looks like desperate filth with wet feet......Mega Ron wrote: Isn't the ad you see dependent on what you've been looking at?

Probably using a thermal imaging camera, something like this - Fluke TI400 Thermal Imaging Camera, Temp Range: -20 → +1200 °C 320 x 240pixelJames P wrote:

Why, when after spending most of the show sitting in the green room with fellow guests on the Johnathon Ross show, do the celebrities greet each other with a 'nice to meet you' when they are called out to be interviewed on the sofa?
