not that he needed the money but:
"Johnny's Theme" is an instrumental jazz song played as the opening theme of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson from the show's inception in 1962 through its finale in 1992. The piece was composed by Paul Anka. Anka estimated that "Johnny's Theme" was played more than 1.4 million times over the course of 30 years. As its original composer, Paul Anka also was paid each time the song was broadcast, earning him an average of about $200,000 per year.

When is someone going to break it to Danny Dyer that most English, if not British people could probably trace their ancestry, right back to ancient royalty...

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......
I don't know how these things work...
however, if they play it at the beginning and at every break and the end..let's say that maybe 10 times, the show was on 5 days a week.
50 times a week x 30 years = 78K
so I don't know where that figure came from........merely passing it along...I didn't investigate it (obviously)

Think you have to have been a cabinet member to get 'right honorable'. I like the 'right' bit, it's like 'you're right orrible' or 'you're right stupid'.
