On a similar theme, why don't they ban (and enforce) HGV's from the outside lane of the A13? It may stop the lunatic tipper lorries from creaming in all the time.........

Radiators underneath windows.... do they warm up cold air coming in or does warm air just 'escape' outside and get wasted warming cold glass?

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......
there are plenty of HADECS speed cameras on the M25 in Kent, others are mostly within the variable speed limit zones in the Surrey area, they are quite small and located off to the left of the gantry, each one covers all of the lanes.
The 'nicks' are downloaded over the wire
The HA have to jump through some serious hoops to get these cameras authorised, calibrated and signed off before they come in to use, sometimes it can take years

The cold air from the windows is meant to push the warm air back into the room.jastons wrote:Radiators underneath windows.... do they warm up cold air coming in or does warm air just 'escape' outside and get wasted warming cold glass?
That's meant to be the plan anyway.

I was told that all M25 cameras are now in operation? By me knowing that it has certainly worked for me and many others when I am on it. I still see cars speeding fast the gantry, if they are working they must be raking it in!FreeWheeling wrote:there are plenty of HADECS speed cameras on the M25 in Kent, others are mostly within the variable speed limit zones in the Surrey area, they are quite small and located off to the left of the gantry, each one covers all of the lanes.

Why is everything in life so difficult, and every day a constant battle?

Speed limits are counter intuitive. The faster you go, the less time you spend on the road and therefore less congestion...………..simples

It's a term baby boomers and generation X's use to look down on what used to be known as Generation Y, even though they really mean to look down on Generation Z's.

It's a Russian rocket. NASA doesn't have any heavy lifters of their own at the moment, they have to cadge rides wherever they can.

Not something I've always wondered because it's only just started happening to me but why, when I start riding my bike now, my knee always clicks. Is it just old age settling in?
