The Ship & Mitre in Liverpool, lost about 5 hours on Sunday in there.

Horse shoe type bar which does a stupid amount of different ales. Decided to try and do half pints of them all, what a bad idea.

Lovely pub though, very nice atmosphere. Dead quiet, and a cracking looking barmaid.

Far from Arty farty IMO.

Last Night went to The Angel Inn Shoebury. Went for a curry and a quiz night. Lovely little old pub with a fantastic atmosphere.

We came joint 4th out of 17 teams aswell.

It hasn't been that long since ive seen one legged blokes going off to do naughty substances, people jumping off the bar backwards in a leap of faith, thieves coming in from the market selling meat nicked from M&S and a Millwall player's dad giving it the biggun. Must be a different Alma in Islington! hahaha

If your coming to drink in Lewes pubs you need to try are, especially if you like your real ale and craft beers.

The snowdrop is the best in Lewes but there are atleast 4 other pubs that are 9s.

You have the Gardners Arms a great real ale pub 9/10
The Brewers Arms the pub to go for football and a proper nice pint 9/10
The Black Horse i play darts for these have a great ale selection and well kept lines 9/10
The Rook INN - Lewes fc have a number of specialist craft bottled beers in, Harveys best and Old on tap and Saxon larger 7/10 as the harveys not the best. If you ever fancy catching a game at the pan if your down DM me and il sort it for you.

The Alma Inn - Olde Harwich

If you ever get the chance to visit, do.

10/10 for me and its my regular.

Always 3/4 adnams ales for the general ale drinker, then an extra 3/4 ales for the more adventurous, Harwich Town Epa is an amazing ale if you ever get the chance to try it.

Also they do a steak night, which is local and cooked on a fire pit to perfection.

Seafood is also always fresh and local.

Cavell's Café Bar , Sheffield.

More like a pub than it sounds. Breakfast pricey but good. Good for following Saturday avo footy.

Mainstream beers (Foster's, Stella, creamy Manc stuff - not for me).

Generally 'nice' place though.

7/10

Aaaahh , a good old pub thread , lovely !

I've always loved pubs and the best pubs are to be found in England , no doubt about it .

Last pub I was in was last month , The Rose And Crown in Maldon High Street .

When it was a pub it was one of the best pubs going , at least a 9 1/2 out of 10 , maybe even a 10 - now it's a Weatherspoons , so an eatery basically , it's not a pub any more - very busy always , bit pigeon holed though the food was good . I'd give it an 8/10 .

Today I was in the Marks and Spencers Cafe which doesn't really qualify a a pub . Nice Bakewell Tart though .

Sunday - Railway Bell, South Woodford. Has recently been refurbished, and they've done a good job. Good selection of beers, not at all bad, only downside is the service can at times be slow. 7/10

At the long weekend……

The Savoy Inn - St Clears. Grotty carpet, empty at 9:30pm - 6/10
The Angel - Narberth, Just grotty all over and very 'local' - 5/10
The Kingham Plough - Kingham. Not bad at all, nice selection of local beers, proper fireplace pub. 8/10
The Wild Rabbit - Kingham. Lovely. 9/10
The Chequers - Chipping Norton. 7/10
The Kings Arms - Stow. Great burgers. 7/10
The Porch House - Stow. Rickety old thing but nice inside. 8/10
The Kingsbridge - Bourton. Nice from the outside, bit hungry horse on the inside. 6/10
The Mill House Hotel - Kingham. Nice refurbished Mill. Okay for a hotel bar but empty. 7/10
The Nags Head, Brentwood. First time I’d been, not as good as I was expecting. 7/10

…hic.
