90 Degree melt, 235 Mile End Road, E1. near The Half Moon Pub.

A new American veggie/vegan fast food place that deals mainly with toasted Sandwiches. I had two for £6.99 which were decent and filled me up. I had the The vegan version of The Spa-artichoke - Spinach & Artichoke, with creamy cheddar and sharp Parmesan, with tangy chilli sauce and the The Harissa - Flavors of North Africa. Courgettes, tomatoes & spinach with a flavourful Harissa paste. Very unusual and very tasty. Coffee was a ripp off though - way to dear for what it was.

Quick service, very friendly staff and spotlessly clean - this was also confirmed by it's 5/5 star cleanliness certificate.

It also does veg/vegan versions of corn dogs, chilli dogs, hot dogs etc - and I'll be back to give them a go.

No offence mate, but to pay 7quid for a toasted sandwich, you'd have to be more like a 360 degree melt.

NPs Tenners - if I paid £7 for a toasted sandwich, you'd be completely right to call me a melt!

All in Porto Montenegro over the last week (If ever a place was the epitome of "I saw you coming" - this is it.)

Murano at The Regent - 2/10 - because the waitresses are real lookers, 0/10 otherwise ; food was bloody awful. Ambience "Gawped at like a monkey in a cage" on "The Terrace" ( known in England as the pavement).

Samuson, - 3/10 - food was nice (once the exploratory expedition actually found it on the largely vacant plate - ended up going straight for a very nice, big, €7 Pizza afterwards). Level of piss-takery was humungous - 2xAsahi (small bottles) = €14 (they seemed surprised to find we'd heard of it - I didn't have the heart to tell them that Morrisons sell it - well, Mrs Bubbs, told me not to embarrass her by making a scene at their banditry).

One, - 7/10 - nice 'Med' food, nice setting, generous portions, service okay

Byblos, - 6/10 - unremarkable Lebanese but okay.

Bevenda, - 9/10 - who'd have thought a €5 Bruschetta starter would taste as though it was worth £30? Very nice food, nice bayfront setting, decent service.

The Lemon Witch, Southend: A crepe place that caters for vegans. My mate had the Cheese, Onion and tomato crepe ( "enjoyable but not satisfying" ) whilst I went for the caramalised onions, vegan feta and mushroom "crepe." Much like my mates food, it was nice but didn't fill me up. The service was excellent though, the staff very helpful and attentive and the ambience relaxing.

Unfortunately the bogs were tiny and not clean - piss on the floor - and at £9.00 for a small crepe and a coffee I felt it was overpriced a bit.

Has anybody been to the new Turkish place in Hockley yet?
I'm thinking about booking it up for my birthday meal.

Chop Bloc, Chelmsford. Great service, great food, great setting. Great.

Was a bit apprehensive as looking at the menu beforehand the steaks are the same price you see in Hawksmoor, Goodmans etc however the quality was just as good and this is right on my doorstep.

Nice bar upstairs too. 9/10.

Been waiting to go here for a while now. Am I right that you choose your size steak per 100g?

Just opposite there is a nice little restaurant called Giraffe that does really nice american/Mexican and a few other dishes. We've only been there for lunch but with a young child in tow it was perfect and not too busy.

Some cuts you can buy per the 100g yes, although there will be a minimum weight you can purchase I would assume.

I went for a speciality steak; Korean Rib Eye. Simpleh.
