I came across a free offer for the Photography Software DXO Pro 9 yesterday , clicked on it and today I received the code in an email - downloaded my free copy this morning .
It works with Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop and you can find tutorials on Youtube .

Offer ends at the end of February so be quick if you're interested , here's a link .http://www.dxo.com/us/digitalcamerauk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thought some of you Photographers might be interested .

Peter,

I have done this, can you tell me (as an expert!), what you use it for and how it compares to say Photoshop?

I have photoshop Elements (came free with my scanner) and mainly use that.

Advantages to this new editor/enhancer?

Tim ,
You've mistaken me for an expert , mate ! :)

I too have Elements [ 11 and 12 ] but ever since I got Lightroom I haven't really used it , finding Lightroom a hell of a lot easier .
Like all these photography software you need to watch a few tutorials to familiarise yourself with them , but if you have experience of photoshop , lightroom and Elements this DXO is not too difficult at all , it installs as an add-on to Lightroom [ not sure about Elements ] but can be used separately . I played around with it for an hour or so , it's not bad for a freebie but like all freebies I expect it's given away as an enticement to more expensive DXO products .

If you haven't as yet got Lightroom I would suggest installing LR5 or 6 on your machine , for less than £100 I find it covers all of my photographic needs .

Tesco have a whole leg of lamb for around £10 at the moment.

They're great for roasting, or butterflying and marinating in garlic, olive oil and rosemary and cooking on the BBQ

Had one in Thursday and another yesterday. I need to lay off the lamb for a bit now.
