What are celebrities really like?

Postby claretandblue82 on Thu Mar 02, 2017 2:18 pm

After reading on a thread that Lineker is a tight arse and a bit of a prick along with James Corden. I was wondering if anyone else knows what a celebrity is like when the cameras are off them, good or bad!

Keanu Reeves is supposed to be one of the nicest around and gives all his royalties from his films to the crew such as make up artists and lighting teams.

Jeremy Clarkson is a prick who enjoys a dab of sherbet between breaks from recording from what I've heard!

I too have heard good things about Keanu Reeves. Interesting back story to his life too and comes across as a very deep and spirited fellow.

Nick Faldo is not a nice man.
Kelvin McKenzie is a tosser.

Came into contact with loads where i work. Its almost a daily accurance in my place
Two that stand out as being really nice ,particularly to their fans are Lionel Ritchie and Robin Williams(rip).
Have to say, yanks tend to handle this fame lark better than our own.
Sienna Miller was really nice when i had dealings with her,Whereas Lily Allen was a complete c**t...On all 4 occasions.
Geri Halliwell was pleasant, Victoria Beckham was a twat, not horrible just a bit of a lemon.
I will of more so add to this

In my line I have worked with and met many, and can't think of single one that stands out as piece of work. Some you like more than others, but that's character driven.
The famous are just like you and I, mostly we try to be nice but have the odd off day.
Corden is a nice fella by the way, so that's that one cleared up to.

I've met Lineker three times and he was an absolute gent every time.
Of the others that I've met, Sir Bruce Forsyth was the grumpiest, but it was 6.30am.

It isn't too much of a stretch to believe this.

Oh, I'd say it's a mixed bag. Some are grounded, regular folk (will echo the positive comments about Keanu Reeves above) but others are off the chart with being full of themselves. I grew up and went to college with the lead singer for a well-known 90's rock band and he's pretty much the same as he ever was. He did have a one night stand that lead to a daughter and ended up successfully suing for custody (mother was unstable.) He's raised her as a single parent and she'll be off to college herself soon. He's talked a bit about those he's met in other bands. Again, a mixed bag. Says Eddie Vedder is about the biggest knob on the planet.

I haven't met Liam Ridgewell on a number of occasions.

Each time, I've found him to be the biggest **** that ever walked the face of the earth.

In football, Phil Parkes, Alan Devonshire, Tony Gale, Billy Bonds, Alan Taylor and Bobby Gould are all thoroughly charming fellers without the faintest trace of importance about them.

Most people who i have met in the music industry (through a mate, not my career unfortunately) - both Gallaghers, the lads from Kasabian etc etc have all been as good as gold tbf, but then that is from a social perspective not working with them in any way

Peter Crouch is a top top bloke

Danny Dyer also seemed like a decent bloke in the brief time I met him

Need to be a bit careful here....

A very good mate of mine is a bigwig in TV comedy and knows a lot of comedians well.

At the opposite ends of the spectrum, Frank Skinner is a complete git, apparently, and Dara O'Briain is a lovely feller.

And, no big surprise, nearly all comedians are full of doubt and self-loathing and need to be loved.

I played in bands for a lot of the 80s and 90s. Most of the people I met were decent. Suede, Ocean Colour Scene and, particularly, EMF I remember as wrong uns. Happy Mondays, New Order and Primal Scream stood out as genuinely nice.
