But I am very deaf for last 9 years and had to pack up playing in my band.

I wear hearing aids now and probably have the hearing of a 90 year old :D

I hear you brother. Pardon?

I'm 60

Said to my wife the other day I was becoming a trifle deaf

Her answer?

'Well take that blancmange out of your ear, you stupid old sod' !

(It was almost like listening to Dandy Nicholls !)

52. But I got the rare opportunity to gain a year back on my birthday last month. For the previous year I had been convinced I was 53. When people asked, I said I'm 53. In filling out forms where they asked for my age rather than birth date, I'd write 53. Only when I received a b-day card from my wife that pointed out I'm 52 did I realize I'd aged myself prematurely.

I wouldn't let that bother you. I went through being 33 thinking I was 32 until I had to fill out a form and work out my actual age.

54, & losing it. On the way up to Whitby (for Sunderland) on Friday, I sat next to a woman who wasn't my misses, in a Mcdonalds on the A1. Wouldn't mind, but she was about 10 years older, & had no resemblance whatsoever!!
