Sky new customer codes

Postby West Ham Matt on Wed Aug 02, 2017 7:11 am

Alright all, I thought it was time I gave something back to the people of KUMB.

I work for Sky so have about 9 codes avaialabke for new customers with 50% off for the following :

Original bundle £11
Variety £16 (documentary channels and kids channels )
Box sets bundle £19 (documentaries, kids and all box sets)

These offers are a 18 month contract and I'm pretty certain you can add sports for 50% off .

If you want a code then PM me your full name and email address and I'll send you the code,

Would be interesting to know what people pay for sky as it can vary so much.

We get the complete bundle with all channels apart from BT sport, internet, line rental and phone for 85 a month. We were paying 70 but didn't get as good a deal when renewing.

My tip isn't to set up an account in your other halfs name when you renew, you get much better deals, then by the time you change again you can be offered 60% off everything. I'm waiting for her package to expire then using that in my name to sign up again.

Cancelled Sky about a year ago and got IPTV, don't notice the difference really bar watching the 3PM's but I suppose our main use of it was Sport. I think when we cancelled it we was paying about 75 a month, now pay 50 a year.

everyone can do the following to save money on their existing sky accounts, i done it and never saved anything from my tv but saved £10 a month from the broadband.

log into your sky account and find the thinking of leaving page
or click here https://secure.sky.com/mysky-cancelsky? ... 0wodvXYI6A
At the bottom right hand corner, is the subheading 'still looking to cancel? Click on the Sky TV option underneath

If you're eligible for a discount you should be redirected to a questionnaire page, which will ask you why you want to cancel your package. Click on 'worried about the cost'

if you're eligible, you will be redirected to a page offering a discount on your bill

also go and view your broadband package (if you have one) and do the same and it should offer you free broadband for a year saving £10 per month

So .....at the risk of asking a stupid question, why doesn't everyone do this? I pay about a ton a month for my cable and you're saying I could do this for £50 per year??

Concerns over legality & reliability, mainly. Also, an unofficial IPTV source will never function as smoothly as Sky or Virgin does in terms of it's TV guide and incorporation with catchup etc

There will be times when I'm watching and get a bit of buffering. Most annoying if it's during a game or a one off event such as a PPV (also included, in HD)
At any time, it may get closed down.

But, the buffering is minimal in reality and the trade off is massively worth it.

PM me mate if you want a hand with giving it a go. You'll need to be fairly au fait with Android apps or Kodi.

Just got sky TV with Sports in HD and have recently negotiated a new contract for 18 months costing me £44 a month all in. I didn't have sports in HD before and kept on badgering tgem for it - they didn't include it initially in the new contract but then I got a letter about 3 weeks later saying it was now included. Don't know if they have done that across the board for anyone else?

I cancelled too.

When they came back with offers I kept refusing untill I managed to bag the full package for £18-50.

The only thing I seem to be lacking is the sports channels in HD but get them in normal.

I switched to Virgin in January. I love the broadband, but the TV interface is garbage. I joined on a deal, did a little tinkering by taking part in market research and am currently down to £40 a month. Soon as the contract runs out I'm off again. I may do Sky for the cheap probationary period. The TV interface is so much beter

We have 4 sky boxes in total, All channels on them all, plus BT sport on two of them. We also have the phone, & the proper lousy 8MB broadband with Sky. This lot stings me for around £170. (£150 sky, £20 BT sport)
Through work, I can get all of that on Virgin media but with 300MB broadband for £90 a month all in
.I am about to give sky a shout & play the old 'Beat that or I'm off' game.Any tips?
