I actually won a few months back a signed home shirt by the majority of the squad by simply retweeting Umbro USA's offer to win it. I was selected randomly and the shirt sits in my wardrobe as I'm too porky to get in it. I want to frame it.

You got that up on youtube or have a digital copy of it anywhere? I'd be genuinely interested in watching that.

Never mind. Still, could be worse - they could have been Spurs tickets.

Years ago now I won a "years" supply of Turborg larger from Nuts or Zoo, one of those sorts of mags.

Was bored at work and randomly emailed in a letter about the Bearded Lady of Guildford - thought nothing more of it until I got an email saying I got letter of the week!

Forget exactly how much they declared a years supply was but after coming home from work there were boxes stacked 3 high down the length of the hallway.

Letter of the week the following week got a years supply of Rustler hamburgers!!!

Can't believe I forgot this one.

I won a years supply of Magnum Ice Creams.

How many would you think that would be?

Is it based on how many days of sun we get a year?

A few boxes of 4?

They said it was 1 per week. They sent vouchers that could be used in any shop or supermarket that valued each Ice cream at £2.50.

It turned out the vouchers were just money off vouchers so most times I didn't even buy Ice creams.

That was always the grand trick with coupons... not sure nowadays but money off coupons always used to work in places like tesco, didn't matter what you were buying (most of the time).

Talking of coupons I've just remembered winning one of those Employee Of The Month thingies once - I was given all sorts of coupons which could be redeemed at various shops , I honestly can't remember which shops but they were all in Inverness so I gave the coupons to my daughter - when she went to cash them in none of them would work !!!
I went back to my manager and told her this and was given the answer ' Head Office must have sent us the wrong ones ' and I never heard a word from her after that .

I have it on VHS

But like most of my early aspirations and motivation, it's under the bed gathering dust

About "Barbara" - think Pat Butcher and Gandalf's love child.

Could be seen around Guildford sitting on various benches or browsing the make up counter in Boots!

Harmless enough but used to get the attention of the local yoofs sadly.

There were whispers she'd joined the circus or got a job for the Royal Mail after she wasn't spotted for a while.

Not worked in Guildford for some time so not sure of the latest.
