Of course that flies in the face of every conceivable rule of fry ups.

However, purely objectively, I can imagine that working pretty well.

I got dished up rice on a roast dinner at an ex girlfiends once. Was tasty..

I don't eat Eggs so I'm a bit sacrilegious here.

Sausages
Bacon
Hash Browns
Tomatoes
Toast
Beans

Leave the Beans and Toast til last and make it Beans on Toast.

I think I would prefer gravy to ketchup or brown sauce.

How can you criticise hash browns on a breakfast yet endorse rice on a roast dinner? Seriously?

I never have. Never once.

Let me say it again.... Hash browns are amazing. They are also amazing with a breakfast.

Point is... yet again.... if you put Hash Browns with a breakfast, you cannot call it a full English.

After all these occasions, do you finally get it yet?

vmixture wrote:yet endorse rice on a roast dinner? Seriously?

Endorse it?
I would never endorse having rice on a dinner. I've also never had it since as it's utter madness.

But, I'm not too blinkered to say that it actually tasted surprisingly nice... that one time.

Look, I know you're very precious about trying to be good at food and you've tried your best to jump at any opportunity to disqualify me on here over the years, but give up bro, it ain't happening.

I know, it's crackers.

It disturbed me greatly when gravy soaked rice, potato, roast beef and mustard tasted quite delicious.

You could put rigatoni on the plate, soak it in gravy and horseradish and shovel it down with some brussels, but that doesn't make it a crime against cuisine.

Made myself a nice breakfast/brunch today :

4 rashers of bacon
3 eggs
Heinz baked beans
2 slices of toast
Mug of tea

Eggs and beans collided, I managed to survive.

Back in the days although nothing to do with this dilemma ,used to enjoy eating a jacket potato, lots of butter, sharp cheddar cheese, corned beef and then beans on top. Lovely.

Right answer, it's not like you cant have a good brekie, even if it is ...sh......poor

Still recommend the garlic rice, 2 runny fried egg and Tocino brekie, with grain mustard.

Rice on roast dinner?

I often have rice with a stew, instead of potatoes. Love it.

Rice and salad is very common with roast lamb and roast potatoes as a Greek meal.
